  We had been fighting the roaches in our home for two years. We would knock them back and only see a few then a month would past and we would be over run again.   I wasn't sure if these products would work well for me since I have spiders and roaches that would get into my garage no matter what treatments I have used in the past.   After my daughter and grandson moved in with us we were overrun by roaches that they brought with them. I tried many different products from the grocery store.   I have been battling with roaches off and on for about three years now. I had tried everything i could get at these department stores where I live, and it would knock them back but they were able to survive and would rebuild their colony! Then I ordered this roach kit thinking that I would try my chances on these products that I never heard of! As soon as it arrived I opened it up, took the gel, an applied it first! It was like it was calling them out with a dinner bell as soon as I put it down! They couldn't resist how good it was and they didn't know at all that it was their last meal!The next morning the floors were covered in dead bugs! Along with the gentrol stations in one week I had got rid of all the roaches, and i couldn't find any that was alive an well. There was some that was sickly but you could tell cause they act funny when they eat that stuff and it doesn't take long to work! I was so glad that this stuff worked and it makes sure they won't survive to rebuild their colony! I still haven't used the spray because the gel put a big dent in population within two days, so i never sprayed! I plan on using the spray soon as a maintenance spray for whatever is lurking in my house! But, I highly recommend this to anyone that is experiencing a roach problem!   I had a fairly moderate roach infestation,I don't know what kind. I bought this product hoping it would take care of the problem. After a very thorough house cleaning, in which I'm fairly certain I found the main nest (it was awful), I applied this product. I used the bait in the kitchen and bathrooms and put the IGR things around the house,a week later I mixed up the spay and used that around the house and window sills. The very first day I seen results roaches were dying like crazy. They were coming out of hiding falling to their backs and literally dying. I was impressed! It's been about 3 weeks and the roach population has dwindled substantially. It gets better every day and I have a ton of product left to prevent future infestations.   I didn't have a chance to use the spray because I haven't purchased a sprayer. The paste and hormone suppressors have done the trick. I had little red-ish roaches (perhaps German roaches) in my apartment's kitchen and bathroom. They appeared shortly after we moved in and I'd never even seen roaches before. I knew our apartment manager would use something really noxious and I was worried about my cat's health. With this kit, I was able to put the paste and plastic hormone thingies in places she'd never get into it. It took a few days for me to stop finding roaches having seizures out in the open. I haven't seen a single one in weeks :) Yay!!!

Be sure to wipe out sinks to remove moisture at the end of the night, vacuum and mop under and behind appliances to remove food debris, take out trash every night, limit food consumption to one room. We would recommend starting with one kit and purchasing more products if needed.

These discs can also be placed out of reach of children and animals and are readily used in sensitive locations such as hospitals and day cares everyday. Severe infestations may take several months to eliminate no matter what products you use. Sanitation will be a key factor in eliminating the roaches. AThe Advion Roach Bait gel should be applied by placing one small pea sized dot every 10-12 inches directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. You should use one Gentrol Point Source disc for every 75 sq ft of space. In order to know how many discs you should use you would need to know the square footage of the room (multiply the length of the room by the width of the room). Demon WP should be sprayed outdoors around door frames, window frames, in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure, around the bottom of the foundation and other areas where insects are known to harbor. Inside you should apply Demon WP along baseboards, in cracks and crevices,under appliances, around door frames, window frames and in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure.

ALiving in an apartment is definitely a situation you have to monitor closely.  You may be very clean but a bad neighbor who is not can cause their roach problem to move into your apartment.  To battle this issue, and to treat before you move in, you should get the roach control kit #2. The kit comes with a spray which is Demon WP.  You will need a 1 gallon hand pump sprayer which does not come with the kit  but we do sell if you don't have one.  Demon WP is a powder you mix with water in a 1 gallon sprayer and apply to all of the baseboards, underneath appliances, where pipes go into the wall under the sinks and behind toilets, water heater closet, etc.  Demon WP will kill all insects, and should provide a good knock down before you move in and ensure anything crawling around is dead. The other products in the kit, roach gel and IGR, should be put out only if you see a roach so you can get rid of the problem before it gets worse.

AYou should use all of the products at the same time. Spray the Demon into cracks and crevices around door frames, window frames, baseboards and under appliances. Place the Advion Gel bait directly in cracks and crevices in cabinets, drawers and around counter tops (places where you wouldn't want to spray because you would contaminate food products or dishes). Place 1-2 Gentrol Point Source in each room where you have noticed roach activity. By using all of the products together you will get much better results in a shorter amount of time.

I used all of the kit- the bait gel in the kitchen, baths, and laundry, the Demon WP all along the outside of the house and doorways/windows, and put out all IGRs. I am still seeing 1-2 roaches daily in random places that seem to be healthy. Occasionally I see a dead one here or there, but not as often as the live ones. What can I do?

ARoach infestations do not build up in a short period of time and they do not usually go away in a short period of time. Roach infestations can take several months to get rid of, though most folks see the infestation dramatically decline within the first couple weeks of treating. This is usually followed by a reappearance of the smaller roach nymphs (baby roaches). All of this is completely normal and expected. Some homes do require repeat applications of roach bait and insecticide sprays every two to four weeks to get rid of the remaining roaches. A barrier insecticide spray application around the exterior of the home will help stop new roaches from moving in. Indoor and outdoor sanitation is key to eliminating roaches. Be sure the trash is taken out every night and that all of the counters and floors are kept crumb free. Dry sinks and keep tooth brushes and sponges inside of plastic bags to eliminate sources for moisture. Outdoors, move trash cans and yard debris (leaf piles, mulch, wood piles) away from your home. Seal up as many cracks, gaps or holes on the exterior of your home to prevent roaches from entering. All of these steps will help you get rid of the roaches for good.

QIs there any long term health concern for Demon WP soaking into carpet?
My apartment floor is covered in carpet. The roaches are seen along the baseboard crawling out of the carpet. I will try to lift the edge of the carpet as much as possible to spray Demon WP into the baseboard crevice. However it's likely some of the spray will be absorbed by the carpet. Is this a health concern for us living in the apartment?

ANo, there is no health concern.  You should apply Demon WP around the perimeter of the rooms and try to keep it confined to on top and underneath baseboards as much as possible.  However, even though some will get onto the carpet near the baseboard this should not be an issue.  When mixed with water and applied properly, products like Demon are only strong enough to kill small insects and nothing else.

We have a roach control kit #2 that is made just for homes and business with bad roach problems.  It has the best roach control products available in the pest control industry and is usually what a professional company would use if you called them.  It has a spray for underneath appliances and under items in the kitchen down low, it has a roach bait gel for use in cabinets, drawers, and cracks and crevices up high, and it comes with an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) which helps prevent the adults from reproducing younger roaches.  Remember that a roach problem does not get bad over night and it will not go away over night or after one treatment.  Roach control is a process and if the problem is really bad it can take months to control. 

Sanitation is also very important.  If the kitchen is not kept spotless every night and all food put up and away, it does not matter how much you spray or what products you use, the problem will not go away unless cleanliness is a part of your roach management program.

QHow often do I need to treat for roaches?
I thought i had them all under control (didn't see them) for months till my daughter and grand kids moved back in. Now I am starting to see some of them again. I'm getting a kit to treat the house (1900sqft). Once I do the treatment, when should i have to treat again? Is there any thing that I can use for under the house since it is off grade to help keep them out?

AWhen treating roaches it all depends on how bad the problem is as to how many times you have to treat.  Once the problem is under control and you do not see any more roaches, it is recommended to spray something once every 30 to 60 days inside and outside your home to help keep the problem from coming back.  Spraying inside and outside every 30 to 60 days will also keep all other pests out of your home.  The Demon WP in the roach control kit that you purchased is great for treating under and around the house to keep pests out.
