Roach Control Kit #2

The Roach Control Kit #2 is perfect for roach control problems in homes and apartments. This professional kit includes 1 packet of Demon WP Insecticide (which makes 4 gallons of finished solution) for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get 4 x 35 gram tubes of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel--one of the best roach baits on the market. Invict Gold can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, 20 Gentrol Point Source stations provide an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) that will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. Demon WP must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer, like the Chapin 1 gallon sprayer.

How Roach Control Kit #2 Works

Roach Control Kit #2 contains three products with different active ingredients and modes of action to control even the toughest roach infestations.

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel contains 11 attractants and the powerful active ingredient Imidacloprid. The slow-acting Imidacloprid give roaches who have consumed the bait time to transfer the bait to other roaches through contact and food-sharing, eliminating roaches far beyond the actual bait placements. Roach bait is applied in cracks and crevices in sensitive areas such as cabinets, drawers, and near countertops.

Demon WP is a residual insecticide that is diluted with water and applied with a pump sprayer. The active ingredient Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that delivers a powerful punch for killing roaches that cross its path.

Gentrol Point Source Stations contain the Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) Hydroprene, which halts population growth by keeping younger stages of roaches from developing into breeding adults. The Gentrol Stations slowly release active ingredient into the surrounding area, meaning roaches do not have to contact the station itself for it to be effective.

Though the combination of bait, residual spray, and IGR is a superior strategy, remember that non-chemical control methods must also be used in conjunction with insecticides. Sanitation, elimination of competing sources of food and water, and exclusion (such as sealing holes where pests may enter) are just as important as insecticides when treating roach infestations.

Gentrol Point Source is a special Roach control device that contains the Gentrol Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) hydroprene for 90-day control of roaches. Activating Gentrol Point Source is as simple as squeezing the raised end of the plastic, adhesive-back device. This releases Gentrol IGR onto a filter paper. From there, it moves up to 75 square feet. That way pests never need to come in contact with the device. One to two weeks after application, you will begin to see roaches with crinkled wings, showing the initial effects of the IGR. These roaches cannot reproduce. All the benefits of an insect growth regulator in a discreet, non-spray formulation. Box of 20 units.

Place the GENTROL POINT SOURCE devices in areas where roach activity has been observed. These areas include: in and around cabinets, closets, pantries, drawers, refuse areas, electrical boxes, equipment, and false ceilings. Also, place around doors, expansion joints, pipe chases, dressers, windows, heating and air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, and voids where pests are active.

Gentrol Point Source Product Label

*Always read the product labels completely before use.

Each box of Gentrol Point Stations contains 20 stations. Each station treats up to 75 square feet and lasts 90 days.

Each envelope of Demon WP contains 4 water-soluble packets and yields 2-4 gallons of finished solution. Each gallon of finished solution covers approximately 1,000 square feet.

Each 35 g tube of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel makes approximately 35 placements, so each box of 5 tubes yields up to 175 bait placements.

Standard Application Dilution rates / Mixing Ratios for Roach Control Kit #2:

Demon WP:

*1 packet/gal. of water – 0.1% - maintenance, more frequent applications

*2 packets/gal. of water – 0.2% - clean-out, severe infestations, exterior applications that receive more direct sunlight

Both the Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel and the Gentrol Point Source Stations are ready to use.

Roach Control Kit #2 is for use in the following areas:

Invict Cockroach Bait Gel: In and around structures, including residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, municipal, institutional, research, recreational, health care, educational, daycare, hospitality and agricultural buildings; other manmade structures, garages, transport vehicles, sewers, animal rearing and handling establishments, food handling and food processing establishments

Gentrol Point Source Stations: Use in buildings and modes of transportation, including restaurants, homes, hotels, kitchens, laboratories, apartment buildings, day care centers, machinery, equipment, greenhouses, hospitals, mausoleums, nursing homes, office buildings, schools, and warehouses; modes of transport including aircraft, buses, trucks, trailers, rail cars, marine vessels; food handling establishments including areas where food is handled or processed

Demon WP: Demon WP is for crack and crevice or spot treatment for residual and contact pest control in, on and around buildings and structures and their immediate surroundings and on modes of transport. Permitted areas of use include, but are not limited to, industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, laboratories, buses, greenhouses and the nonfood/feed areas of stores, warehouses, vessels, railcars, trucks, trailers, aircraft (cargo and noncabin areas only), schools, nursing homes, hospitals (non-patient areas), restaurants, hotels and motels, and food manufacturing, processing and servicing establishments, food granaries, food grain mills, and pet kennels. Demon WP is also for use on lawns, ornamental trees and shrubs around residential, institutional, public, commercial, agricultural and industrial buildings, and parks, recreational areas and athletic fields.

Indoors-

Invict Gold Cockroach Gel: Results will be best if spilled food and other debris are cleaned up before applying bait. Apply bait in small spots about ¼” in diameter. For most infestations, applications should range from 10 to 20 spots per 100 square feet. Smaller, more frequent spots are better than occasional large spots. Pay particular attention to cracks which lead into void areas, and specifically look for warm, moist areas. Insert the syringe tip directly into the crack and apply about 0.5g (pea size) amount of bait. Apply bait out of reach of children and pets. Inspect bait placements periodically and reapply bait as needed.

Gentrol Point Source Stations:  To activate, press firmly between the thumb and forefinger on the pouch located on the side of the device, until a snapping sound is heard indicating that the contents of the Gentrol capsule have been released. Place the device in any orientation in areas where roach or stored product pest activity has been observed. Gentrol Point Source Stations will treat up to 75 square feet, but more stations may be used for heavy infestations or when many treatment areas are enclosed, such as in cabinets. Keep Gentrol Point Source device a minimum distance of 3 feet from exposed food in food-handling establishments.

Demon WP Insecticide: Dilute 1 packet per gallon of water in a pump sprayer and apply in cracks and crevices where pests are seen, may harbor, or may enter the structure. When using in conjunction with bait, keep Demon WP spray away from baiting areas, confining spray to areas such as corners, baseboards, and under and behind appliances. Do not spray on top of baits or in areas where bait will be used. Wait at least 7 days between applications. Demon WP residual will last 30 days or more indoors.

Outdoors-

The Gentrol Point Source Stations are NOT intended for outdoor use.

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel may be applied on the outside surfaces of buildings and other structures, as well as in crawlspaces, attics, and other voids, paying particular attention to cracks where roaches may enter buildings. Bait should not be used in areas where it is easily exposed to direct sunlight, dust, rainfall, or other contaminants. Do not use bait in areas where you intend to use insecticide sprays such as Demon WP.

Demon WP may be applied outside as a barrier treatment to prevent cockroaches and other pests from entering structures. Use 1-2 packets per gallon of water in a hand pump sprayer and apply to a band of soil and vegetation 6-10 feet wide around and adjacent to the building. Also, treat the building foundations to a height of 2-3 feet where pests are active and may find entrance. Pay attention to areas where pests may enter structures, such as doorways, window frames, where pipes enter, and any cracks or crevices around the foundation. Demon WP may leave a visible white powdery residue on dark surfaces. This residue does not harm surfaces and will not permanently stain or discolor.

Roach Control Kit #2 Features

*Each product uses different active ingredients and modes of action for the most complete control.

*Kit includes enough product for multiple treatments.

*Demon WP controls a wide variety of common pests.

*Demon WP comes in pre-measured packets for easy mixing.

*All products are safe to use in areas where pets or children reside when used as directed.

*Gentrol Point Source and Invict Roach Bait Gel applications are extremely discreet.

Extra Tips for Using Roach Control Kit #2

*Keep baits high and sprays low; do not spray over bait or in areas where bait will be used.

*Sanitation should always be the top priority when treating for roaches!

*Severe roach infestations do not develop overnight, therefore complete elimination cannot occur overnight. Diligence and repeat treatments will be required for complete control of roach infestations.

*Some settling may occur after tank mixing Demon WP. Be sure to agitate the tank after resting, and only mix the amount of product you intend to use within 24 hours.

*Wait at least 7 days between treatments of Demon WP. Point Source Stations will remain active for 90 days. Bait should be checked frequently, but should be removed and replaced if not eaten within 2-4 weeks.

*Avoid placing bait in areas where the temperature may exceed 130 degrees F as the bait may melt and drip.

*For vertical placement of Gentrol Point Source Stations, expose sticky surface by removing paper backing and pressing the device firmly in place.

5 of 5 Stars  Thank you, Thank You!!
By Hollie in Madera, Ca. on August 14, 2010
    Verified Purchase

We had been fighting the roaches in our home for two years. We would knock them back and only see a few then a month would past and we would be over run again. I was sick of seeing them and having them get into our food. Also we were moving to a new home and I didn't want to take them with us. I had opened an internet page and low and behold there was an ad for Do my own pest control. I came to see what you all had. I did research on every product in the kit before buying to make sure they would work. The reviews in kit 1 spoke to the problems we were having. I then showed my husband and he bought kit 2. It has been 2 months since treatment and I can tell you there are no roaches in our old house or our new one! Treatment was easy we just followed the directions and woke up to roaches all over the floor. We never thought there were so many. I am glad they are gone and I still have enough products left to treat again in case they invade our new home. BTW the bait is like candy for them they cannot resist it. It was very hard not to crush them as they ate it but we knew they needed to take it back to their home! So all I can say is Thank you, Thank you for your products and my roach free home.

5 of 5 Stars  Amazing reactions
By Colton in Guntersville, Alabama on October 12, 2010

I have been battling with roaches off and on for about three years now. I had tried everything i could get at these department stores where I live, and it would knock them back but they were able to survive and would rebuild their colony! Then I ordered this roach kit thinking that I would try my chances on these products that I never heard of! As soon as it arrived I opened it up, took the gel, an applied it first! It was like it was calling them out with a dinner bell as soon as I put it down! They couldn't resist how good it was and they didn't know at all that it was their last meal! The next morning the floors were covered in dead bugs! Along with the gentrol stations in one week I had got rid of all the roaches, and i couldn't find any that was alive an well. There was some that was sickly but you could tell cause they act funny when they eat that stuff and it doesn't take long to work! I was so glad that this stuff worked and it makes sure they won't survive to rebuild their colony! I still haven't used the spray because the gel put a big dent in population within two days, so i never sprayed! I plan on using the spray soon as a maintenance spray for whatever is lurking in my house! But, I highly recommend this to anyone that is experiencing a roach problem! Nobody enjoys spending a lot of money and not seeing any results! Well this product doesn't control your roach problem, It Eliminates your roach problem and you'll be glad you bought it! Like I said this product will blow your mind away on how fast it works and how well it works! I appreciate the business! I will keep spreading the word, because no one wants to live with nasty roaches!

I wasn't sure if these products would work well for me since I have spiders and roaches that would get into my garage no matter what treatments I have used in the past. I followed the instructions and overnight not only were there absolutely no more pests but there was a "perimeter of destruction" around my house!  You could literally see where the bugs that had tried to come towards my house met with the pest control barrier and died INSTANTLY!  To say that I am please with my purchase is an understatement.

5 of 5 Stars  This works
By Mike in Keithville, LA on September 2, 2010
    Verified Purchase

After my daughter and grandson moved in with us we were overrun by roaches that they brought with them. I tried many different products from the grocery store. They seem to work but in less than a week they were back. I bought this and read the instructions and did as told. The next morning when I walked into the kitchen I could not believe how many dead roaches were on the floor. Our house is now roach free and we are very happy with this product. I waited for almost a month before I wrote this to make sure it works. This product does what they say it does and I highly recommend it to anyone who has roaches.

5 of 5 Stars  This is the Best!!
By Wendy in Valentine, NE on August 17, 2010
    Verified Purchase

We got roaches in our house (don't know how) and hired an exterminator. After he was done spraying there was no effect on the roaches at all. I found this site and based on other reviews gave it a try (anything is better than living with roaches). The first day we used the system roaches were coming out on the kitchen floor turning on their backs and dying. By the third day there are no roaches to be seen. This product was $5.00 cheaper than a professional and works so much better. I will be ordering this product again to keep on the maintenance spraying and baiting to ensure they never return!! This is the best, you won't believe how effective it is!!

My family and I recently moved into a condo and the day after we moved in we started seeing roaches everywhere, especially the kitchen. We tried the store-bought traps and they just didn't cut it. I came across the Roach Kit #2 and decided to give it a try because we were desperate, and WOW what a difference it made. Within a week we saw less and less roaches. We're almost three weeks in now and it's been 2 days since we've seen any. Keep in mind that good sanitation still needs to be practiced to eliminate their food source but this product is leaps and bounds ahead of any store product. I recommend this to anyone who is fed up with roaches!

I had an awful tenant who for 7 months left dog food on the floors and under cabinets, and never cleaned anything. When we went in after the left it was one of the most disgusting experiences of my life. 10's of thousands of germans were running across the floors in the day time. they were in everything, we bleach cleaned several times, then came in with this and they were gone in two weeks. thanks Guys! Great product

I know its cold outside and roaches like to hide in the walls. I bought control kit 2 once and it seemed to work. Buying it a second time doesn't seem to be having any effect. The gel is drying up quickly ( its being put down where roaches are seen ). Im seeing fewer than before, but have a feeling there just hiding.

May 19, 2010 Jenn asked:

QHow many roach kits should we purchase to effectively stop the roach infestation?
We live in a 1200 square foot 3 bedroom 2 bath with a large utility room. We have a pretty bad infestation of roaches in our kitchen and utility room and will occasionally see the roaches in all other rooms of the house. How much of this product should we purchase to effectively stop the roach infestation?

AThe Roach Control Kit # 2 contains enough of each product to effectively treat an average home but severe infestations may take several months to eliminate and may require multiple treatments. Sanitation plays a key role in eliminating roach infestations as well. Be sure to wipe out sinks to remove moisture at the end of the night, vacuum and mop under and behind appliances to remove food debris, take out trash every night, limit food consumption to one room. We would recommend starting with one kit and purchasing more products if needed.

August 10, 2010 Shawna asked:

QWhat can we use for a bad roach problem that would be safe around kids and pets?
We have two young kids, cats, dogs, birds and one really bad roach problem. We called a company to come out, but they only put out traps and said they would have to do it every six months. It seems to have only made it worse. What would be the best treatment to rid our house of these pests, but is safe for us and our pets?

AAll of the products in the Roach Control Kit #2 would work very well to help eliminate roaches and are safe to use around pets and children when applied as directed on the product label. When the actual application of the Demon WP is being made, all pets and children should be out of the house and they can return as soon as the treated areas are dry. The Advion roach bait gel should be placed directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. This will make the gel available to the roaches and inaccessible to your pets and children. The Gentrol Point Source do not actually contain any insecticides, just an insect juvenile growth hormone mimic. These discs can also be placed out of reach of children and animals and are readily used in sensitive locations such as hospitals and day cares everyday. Severe infestations may take several months to eliminate no matter what products you use. Sanitation will be a key factor in eliminating the roaches. Please take a few minutes to read the hints and tips in our German Cockroach article to learn more about roach elimination.

May 6, 2011 P asked:

QHow do I use the Roach Control Kit #2?
I'm not quite sure how to use the DuPont Advion that I received from you today. I read the instructions but still uncertain. Am I supposed to run it along every inch of my home? Like caulking or just place it here and there? Also the inhibitors, I got the #2 kit, how many should I use? And the mix for the spray, when should I use it? Do I use it in areas where I didn't use the Advion? Sorry to appear so ignorant, I'm a bit freaked out about this whole roach thing. Haven't had a problem in 20 years. My daughter brought them home with her from a friends house who is infested and now they are all over my kitchen and it's freaking me out.

AThe Advion Roach Bait gel should be applied by placing one small pea sized dot every 10-12 inches directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. You should use one Gentrol Point Source disc for every 75 sq ft of space. In order to know how many discs you should use you would need to know the square footage of the room (multiply the length of the room by the width of the room). Demon WP should be sprayed outdoors around door frames, window frames, in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure, around the bottom of the foundation and other areas where insects are known to harbor. Inside you should apply Demon WP along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames, window frames and in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure.

September 21, 2010 Angel asked:

QWhat is the best thing to use to get rid of roaches? I currently use Orthene Pco pellets.
I use the product in my apartment rental properties, so I need something good with a low odor.

AIf you have a current infestation of roaches, we recommend the products that come in our Roach Control Kit #2. The products in the Roach Control Kit #2 are perfect for roach control problems in apartments. This professional kit includes Demon WP Insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc.  Advion Roach Bait Gel--one of the best roach baits on the market. Advion can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, Gentrol Point Source stations provide an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) that will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals.

November 9, 2011 Elizabeth from United States asked:

QWhat is the best product to get to get rid of my roach infestation??!!
I have a bad infestation in my house and I am sick of buying products that don't work! I need something that really works and is worth my money because I'm sick of them taking over my house!

AWe recommend using 3 products together to get rid of roaches. A roach bait gel, an IGR (insect growth regulator), and a residual insecticide. We offer all three products in the Roach Control Kit 2. This professional kit includes 1 packet of Demon WP Insecticide (which makes 4 gallons of finished solution) for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get 4 x 30 gram tubes of Advion Roach Bait Gel--one of the best roach baits on the market. Advion can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other hidden roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, 20 Gentrol Point Source stations provide an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) that will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. Demon WP must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer. It is very important that you do your part by making sure your home is impeccably clean while trying to get rid of a roach infestation. Poor sanitation will lead to roach control failure.

QWhat product do you recommend to get rid of roaches.
I paid a company - eco-tech to service my home. they did an excellent job, however, they have gone out of business. I know that they used drione dust but I don't know what liquid insecticide they used. It was odorless and effective. I did not smell the product, but the roaches were seen the next day dead

It can take several months to get rid of a large infestation. Infestations do not get large quickly and unfortunately they do not go away quickly either.  Below you will find our best recommendations for eliminating roaches:

The Roach Control Kit #2 is perfect for roach control problems in homes and apartments. This professional kit includes 1 packet of Demon WP Insecticide (which makes 4 gallons of finished solution) for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get 4 x 35 gram tubes of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel--one of the best roach baits on the market. Invict can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. April 9, 2015 Anne from Miami. Fl asked:

QWhat do you recommend for Palmetto Bugs?
I have Terminix come on a 1-2 month basis and I still see palmetto bugs, what else can I do? We have sealed everything except the AC ducts which are impossible to get to in the attic, and the AC unit in the garage, which is also hard to reach opening to crawl space.

A

Sanitation
Like most pests, Palmetto Bugs require 3 things to thrive-food, water, and harborage. If you can eliminate even one of these things through proper sanitation, the roach population will be forced to either die or move someplace else.

  • Discard old boxes and piles of papers where roaches can hide.
  • Use a waste bin or trash can with a tight fitting lid and keep trash in a close plastic bag overnight.
  • Fix leaky drains and faucets; roaches can live on water alone.
  • Clean kitchen appliances thoroughly
  • Empty pet food containers at night, or place them on the back porch or in a plastic bag.
  • Vacuum regularly, and restrict food consumption to one room of the house. This will help keep Palmetto Bugs and other pests from spreading into others areas such as bedrooms.

Exclusion
Palmetto Bugs prefer to live outdoors, but will easily set up residence indoors if they can find their way inside. Exclusion is about keeping Palmetto Bugs out, or at least making it harder for them to get in.

  • Caulk and repair holes around doors, windows, water pipes and baseboards.
  • Place mesh screens over windows, floor drains, and vents. These places serve as roach hideaways.
  • Windows and doors should fit tightly and squarely within their frames to prevent both harborage and entry from outside.

Step 2)
Chemical Methods for Palmetto Bug Control

Dust Cracks & Crevices

  • The dusts that work best against Palmetto Bugs are Delta Dust and CB Borid Boric Acid.
  • Using a hand duster and following label instructions, apply dust liberally where roaches travel--underneath and behind baseboards, behind wall outlets, in wall voids, in cupboards and cabinets, and underneath appliances such as washers and dryers.

Apply a Liquid Residual to the Perimeter

  • Demand CSSuspend SC, or Demon WP provide excellent control when mixed in a 2 gallon sprayerand applied at a low-pressure setting.
  • Spray indoors along baseboards, especially in corners; window and door frames, on the underside of furniture, behind bookshelves, and in other problem areas as listed on the product label. With Palmetto bugs, the outher perimeter of the home or structure should also be treated.
  • Residual sprays need to be reapplied every month to every 3 months, depending on the level of infestation.

Baits

  • Use Niban FG in attics, basements, and crawlspaces where Palmetto Bugs enter, and
  • For added protection, spread DeltaGard G Granules outdoors in pine straw and mulched areas surrounding the infested structure.

Kill ‘em on Contact
Contact sprays will kill roaches immediately on contact, and can also be used to "flush out" roaches from suspected harborages. Contact Sprays for Palmetto Bugs include CB-80 ExtraCy-Kick, D-Force HPX565 Plus XLO.

Don't Skip the IGR!
An IGR is a chemical used to disrupt and impede the life cycle of insects in the egg and larvae stage of development. The idea with an IGR is that if an insect cannot reach adulthood, it cannot reproduce. In short, IGR is a form of "birth control" for Palmetto Bugs and other pests, which helps to keep populations under control by preventing current and future infestations.

  • The most common and effective IGR for roach control is Gentrol IGRwhich comes in an aerosol ,concentrated liquidand point-source tablet.

  • We recommend Gentrol IGR Concentrate to be added to your hand sprayer and sprayed right along with your baseboard chemical ( Demand CSSuspend SC, or Demon WP).

  • For kitchen and bathroom areas, Gentrol Aerosol is the formulation of choice. Using the straw attachment, the IGR should be applied liberally to all visible cracks and crevices, including underneath, behind, and alongside appliances, behind outlets, along pipe collars, inside wall voids, and on top of kitchen cabinets near the ceiling.

  • Continue to apply IGR every 4 to 6 weeks for up to 6 months, or until all signs of infestation have been eliminated.

March 30, 2015 Michele from Burgaw, Nc asked:

QWill this kit also control sugar ants?
We have a relatively large infestation of Sugar Ants. When I moved into the house I noticed them immediately. I also noticed huge amounts of trace and evidence of cockroach infestation. I was assured by the landlord that the house had been treated recently and we shouldn't have a cockroach problem, but lo and behold a roach! We have only seen two so far, but would like to nip it in the butt. I'd just rather get a product that is going to take care of both of my problems at once.

A The Demon WP in the roach control kit will also help with Sugar Ants. Roach bait and ant baits are made up of different bait matrix so one gel bait will not affect both insects. Along with the Roach Control Kit #2, you will need to use and ant gel bait such as Maxforce FC Ant Bait Gel.  We recommend spraying the perimeter of the house with Termidor SC 1ft up and 1ft out from the structure for 6 month control of Ants. Sanitation and baiting are key when treating for roaches and will also help with the control of ants.

February 12, 2015 Walt from Waxahachie, Texas asked:

QWill this product work in the greenhouse?
1) I have hordes for small roaches lurking in and under flower pots (especially the orchids), in bags of potting soil, in the gravel floor and just about everywhere in this warm humid environment. 2) Will the product harm toads or anoles (little lizards) who inhabit the greenhouse and might eat dead or dying insects.

A The Roach Control #2 would not be the best option for you because Demon WP cannot be used in a greenhouse. We would recommend using Roach Control Kit #1. The Invict Gold and Gentrol Point Sources can be used inside greenhouses. The Gentrol Point Sources will be used to stop the roaches from reproducing which will take care of the small roaches you are seeing. Lizards and toads are not on the label so we would recommend contacting the manufacturers to make sure they will not harm these animals. If you are wanting to spray an insecticide around your greenhouse, we would recommend using Stryker Multi-Use Insecticide. It is not labeled to be used on any type of edibles but can be used on greenhouse plants. According to the label, you should not spray more than once a day.

January 31, 2015 Nicole from Hohenwald Tennessee asked:

QWill Roach Control Kit 2 help a German roach infestation in a mobile home with them in the walls?

A Yes, Roach Control Kit 2 will do a good job in a mobile home. The best way to handle a roach infestation, no matter how small or large, will take both chemical and non chemical steps.  The Roach Kit 2 has a powder insecticide that you mix with water and spray around the baseboards, cracks and crevices, behind appliances like refrigerators and stoves, and around door frames. It also comes with a roach bait gel to place in cabinets and other areas where baiting will be more effective, and an IGR (birth control) in little plastic stations that you place throughout the problem areas to keep the roaches from reproducing.  Please take a moment to look over our How To Get Rid of Roaches article and watch the video HERE for how to properly place the bait in the cabinets

December 25, 2014 John from Warner Robins, Ga asked:

QI was told to use diatomatus earth (food grade) for fleas.
I found it also works for roaches. How long do I wait to reapply? Thing I like is that it being food grade, if the dogs or I get an accidental dose, we don't get sick. We are being overrun by roaches and I need to give them a good dose of something. I may have to go buy some more DE.

A

Using a bellow hand duster to apply Diatomaceous Earth in wall voids, cracks and crevices where roaches like to hide will treat for roaches. Diatomaceous Earth needs to be reapplied frequently or when the infestation reappears. When treating for roaches, we recommed using one of our Roach Control Kits. THese kits contain the necessary products to do a full treatment for roaches. You can read about our Roach Control kits here. Our most popular Roach Control Kit is our Roach Control Kit #2. October 29, 2014 Jane from Las Vegas, Nevada asked:

QWhat is best product for giant flying cockroaches? I want a spraying machine.
They come from my bathroom air vent in my ceiling and under my bathroom sink at the water pipes in my wall.

A We would recommend using our Roach Control Kit # 2. It contains Demon WP, which is an insecticide that you mix with water. You will spray this along the baseboards and cracks and crevices indoors. This can also be used outdoors around the perimeter of your home. Demon WP is applied with a pump sprayer. The kit also comes with Gentrol Point Sources which stop the roaches from reproducing. The last item the kit comes with is Invict Gold Roach Bait gel. This can be placed in cracks and crevices where roaches may hide or enter your home. Some of these areas include areas where baseboards are peeling away from the wall, cracks in and around equipment and appliances such as stoves, sinks, dishwashers, refrigerators and walk-in coolers, hollow table legs, areas where pipes come through walls, cracks between construction elements, around electrical boxes, cracks around hinges, where cabinets meet walls and cracks leading into wall, ceiling or floor voids.
