The Two Types of Rodent Deterrent & Prevention Products

Copper Mesh

Copper wire mesh is specifically designed to be impenetrable to both mice and rats because they are unable to chew through the material. It can also be molded to fit into virtually any crack in the exterior of your home that might be inviting for rodents.

Foam

The second form of rodent proofing is a particular brand of foam that is formulated to be sprayed into cracks and crevices in the exterior of a house in order to keep rodents out. This foam is made from a material that is impenetrable to the mice or rats, and will give you the added benefit of making your home more energy efficient in addition to keeping it pest free.

Mouse & Rat Deterrent/Prevention Techniques That Can Help

Although the two product types listed are important in the pursuit of rat exclusion and mouse exclusion, there are some other things that you can do to help keep your house free of this menace.

Cleanliness

This is one of the most important secondary mouse prevention techniques for several reasons. Placing Rodent Killing Devices Outside

This option is really only necessary when there are signs of rodents on the exterior of a building and the previous prevention methods have already been employed. It is not a bad idea to invest in some mouse traps or rat bait that will kill or capture any stray rodents that might be scouting the outside of your home searching for a place to enter. This is merely another level of protection in the battle against rodents.
