What is a roost inhibitor?

"Roost inhibitors" include any device specially designed to physically deter birds from landing and roosting on designated windowsills, gutters, ledges, cornices, protruding beams, and ornamental copings.

How do roost inhibitors work?

There are various kinds of roost inhibitors. Stainless spikes utilize uncomfortable sharp points to prevent birds from landing. The spikes do not hurt the birds, but merely cause discomfort is a bird tries to land. Other liquid gels and repellents create sticky surfaces that birds find too uncomfortable to roost upon. Plastic barriers seal architectural entrances and block access to frequented roosting places.

Where can I use a roost inhibitor?

Use roost inhibitors on windowsills, gutters, cornices, ledges, protruding beams, or any surface that needs to be kept bird-free. Use only on surfaces out-of-reach of children.
