Roundup QuikPRO - CASE (30 x 1.5 oz. packs)

Roundup QuickPRO is a nonselective postemergent herbicide for commercial, industrial, non-crop and residential use. QuickPRO has two active ingredients: 73.3% glyphosate and 2.9% diquat. The addition of diquat, along with the surfactant, gives you even faster burndown. It controls broadleaf and grass weeds, or woody brush and trees - roots and all. Roundup Quick Pro is absorbed quickly by plants and is rain fast in about an hour. This super-fast dry time means rain won't wash the product away as easily and it works much faster than typical glyphosphate products. Simple and mistake-proof measuring saves time and labor costs. Available in a box of five 1.5-oz. packets per box, or a larger 6.8 lb. jug. Each 1.5-oz. pack makes 1 gal. of spray solution.

QuikPRO is also available here in a 6.8 lb jug for larger applications.

Active Ingredient: Glyphosate 73.3.%
Diquat 2.9%
Yield: Each 1.5-oz. pack makes 1 gal. of spray solution.

5 of 5 Stars  Works great!
By Fran on July 11, 2010
    Verified Purchase

I bought QuikPRO initially to try and kill off a bamboo tree that I planted in my yard. The tree was contained but starting to spread so I figured that until I was able to dig it up I would try to kill it off with a weed killer. QuikPRO seemed to be the strongest weed killer I could find. I didn't have high hopes because I was using it on bamboo, but figured I'd try it anyway. The QuikPRO did its job....It killed all the leaves and chutes and now my bamboo is just a few tall brown sticks and I'm ready to dig it out to avoid a future bamboo disaster. While I was spraying the QuikPRO I also used it on weeds that were growing all around my house and it knocked them out too. This stuff works great. Another very satisfied purchase from DoMyOwnPestControl.

5 of 5 Stars  Roundup QuikPRO knocks out invasive bermuda grass!
By Lee on October 8, 2011
    Verified Purchase

I recently found this stuff and love it. I use it to kill my neighbor's Bermuda grass that has wandered onto most of my front yard. I spray, wait a week and spray again. Then wait a week and scalp, bag, plant new fescue grass seed. Using a service would have cost me over $100, this cost me $20.

The Roundup QuikPro did wonders for my fence line. My fence line looks great. It worked very well. I will place another order soon, just to have it on hand to use when needed. I need some help with getting rid of bamboo and alstroemeria. Can you suggest something that I may try for those two plants? Thank you very much for you help in this matter. I am glad I tried QuickPro.

5 of 5 Stars  Very Happy with Roundup QuikPRO
By Judi on July 4, 2011

I purchased this to kill Zoysia grass. You cannot purchase Zoysia grass killer in any retail (Lowes, Home Depot, etc). It worked excellent - almost overnight! It will kill your regular grass though. I asked and was told to wait about 2 weeks before re-sodding. Have not done that yet. I made sure I was as careful as the directions say to be, pants, long sleeves, shoes, goggles or glasses, etc.

Dissolved very fast. I added warm water to the contents in the pump sprayer. After spraying fence line, I saw results within 24 hours and after 12 more hours, everything turned dark brown!! I recommend this product and will buy it again! The best stuff I have used ever!

I haven't had a chance to use as yet due to the never ending winter here in Minnesota. I will say though that the delivery was quick and this is the first time I have seen a powdered pack of Roundup. I am looking forward to using this product, I hope it works better than the cheap off the shelf watered down stuff you get at local stores.

By Brian on July 30, 2012

I like some others on here am not very happy with this product. I did see within 24 hrs on broadleaf weeds the burned effect, BUT on others nothing, infact they are still growing. Maybe a sticker spreader would have helped??

By Carol on July 12, 2012

We haven't used this package yet, but have used the product before. The reason I am writing a review that your company had the product with decent shipping rates. These days you go to get a product where you bought it the last time and then they don't handle it anymore. Thank you for the good service we would use this company again. Carol

August 30, 2009Charlie asked:

QDoes Roundup QuickPro hurt trees?

ARoundUp QuikPro is a product that will kill any plant or tree that you spray it on.  It is non-selective, meaning it will affect anything it touches.  If you have a large tree though, then you would have to use a large amount of QuikPro directly on the stump or get it in the trunk of the tree by drilling into it for it to die.  Larger trees are not normally affected by overspray or by applying QuikPro to other plants or grass nearby.

May 10, 2012Edward from Vancouver, Wa 98665 asked:

QWhat is the approx. shelf life of a Roundup Quick Pro jug and Roundup Quick Pro packets?
Trying to find out which would be better for a homeowner who sprays, maybe 5-10 gallons per season.

ARound Up Quick Pro should be used with 3 years of the date of purchase for best results.

February 25, 2010Jake asked:

QWhen using Roundup QuikPRO on a food plot how long would I need to wait before I planted something new?
How many plants will one gallon of Roundup QuikPRO treat?

ARoundup QuikPRO does not have any residual soil activity. You would need to wait only 1-2 weeks or until all the undesired vegetation has been eliminated. You will need to know what type of vegetation you are trying to eliminate to determine how far one gallon of Roundup QuikPRO will go. Please read the product label to determine how much product you will need to purchase.

December 20, 2011John from Dallas Texas asked:

QWhat post emergent herbicide do I use in cold weather for winter weeds?
I have winter weeds in joints of brick pavers that I want to keep killed out. Summer time I use Ranger but temps a lot lower in winter, temperature ranges 30's to mid 60's. Need a non-selective weed killer. Thanks.

AWe would recommend Round-UP Quick Pro Professional.  It contains diquat as well as glyphosate, which will burn down the weeds a little faster in the winter time.  It is one of our most popular non-selective weed killers.

August 20, 2009Arturo asked:

QCan QuickPRO packs be mixed and applied through a hose end sprayer?

AYes, QuikPRO 1.5 oz packs can be used in a hose end sprayer.  However, you would only want to use a hose end sprayer if you wanted to kill all vegetation in a large area.  You must be careful when applying this product so it does not get on any plant or grass that you do not want to kill.  Also be attentive to overspray when applying QuikPRO on a windy day.

August 7, 2011Danny from Chapin South Carolina asked:

QDo I need to drill holes in Wisteria stump to apply?
Stump is wrapped around a River Birch and I am not allowed to kill this tree.

AIf you want to selectively kill something then you would want to drill holes into the stump or use the cut stump method.  This means you cut the stump to expose fresh pulp and immediately treat.  You may want to try a brush and stump killer product like Fertilome Brush and Stump Killer.

March 15, 2010Frank asked:

QI live in Jax, Florida and I need a spreadable product to get rid of dollar weed

AWe carry Roundup Quick Pro and Ranger Pro Herbicides. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in both Roundup and Ranger, is a non-selective herbicide that should be used with caution. Do not allow glyphosate spray mist to contact ornamental foliage or severe injury will occur. A cardboard shield may be used to prevent glyphosate spray from drifting to nearby ornamentals. Glyphosate is more effective when weeds are actively growing and should not be applied under drought conditions. As with all pesticides, read and follow all label instructions and precautions. For all over lawn treatments we recommend contacting your Local Cooperative Extension Office for advice.

June 11, 2010Austin asked:

QCan RoundUp QuickPRO be used on Centipede Grass and when the temperature is above 90 degrees?

A

Our expertise is mainly structural pests and plant infesting insect pests and we have just recently started carrying herbicides per customer request. While we are gaining more and more knowledge about these products everyday, we are not yet experts on them and refer questions about herbicides directly to the manufacturers. You may call the Monsanto Company, the manufacturer of RoundUp QuickPro for specific application advice. You can also read through the product label to see if it meets your needs.

January 21, 2012Lonnie from Fort Worth Texas asked:

QHow many ounces of round up per 100 gallons for winter grassy weeds?

A

These 1.5 ounce packs are mixed with just 1 gallon of water.  They are really meant for smaller jobs and homeowner use.  If you need to treat a larger area with 100 gallons of water, you should purchase Ranger Pro.  Ranger Pro is a much more economical form of round up that works just as good. Typically you would mix 1 to 2 2.5 gallon jugs per 100 gallons of water.

February 22, 2012Bill from Petersburg, Va asked:

QCan I use crabgrass preventer in the vegetable garden?
Can I use the crabgrass preventer in the onion bed/tomato patch to prevent weeds

AUnfortunately pre-emergents and selective herbicides are not labeled to be used around edible gardens.  They stay in the soil too long.  Your only option is a round up type product, like our Round UP Quik Pro, and you can spot treat the weeds.  Since Round UP does not stay in the soil very long, it can be used in these areas.

June 18, 2012Joe from Guntersville, Al asked:

QHow can I control common bermuda in my zoysia lawn?

AUnfortunately Bermuda grass is so closely related to Zoysia grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from Zoysia and not hurt the Bermuda as well.  In your situation it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with Round Up and kill it directly, and then replant Zoysia in those areas. We do carry some professional round up products:  http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/nonselective-herbicides-c-188_408.html

July 2, 2012Bouyin from Nj asked:

QCan I use RoundUp QuickPro to kill bamboo?
I have a lot of bamboo. from under a fence and has over taken my yard. Would this Kill it? I dont CARE if i kill theirs too. it's because of them I have lost my backyard. If this were to kill it. how would I apply it? just spray the sticks and ground? or cut the shoot and spray the 10 sec? also, if it does kill it (bamboo).. would i have to till my yard or something.. or can I seed and fert. my lawn back to normal? thanks.

AYou can use Round Up QuickPro at the highest listed usage rate to help eliminate bamboo. You will be required to cut the bamboo down to a short stump and then apply the Round Up QuickPro. It can take several applications to achieve the desired results. You should contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff to see if you will be required to till your yard or if you can seed and fertilize only.
