Should I vacuum up the DE first? Can I apply Bedlam to the couch and car seats?

Daughter found bedbugs in apt and afraid one followed her home. I put down Diatomaceous Earth while waiting for your products. Do I vacuum that up first? I bought FenvaStar and Bedlam- do I use the Bedlam on the fabric items-couch, carseats, mattress tufts/seams and the FenvaStar on baseboards for most efficient use? Can I spray the whole couch cushion-where we sit/lie down or just the crevices of the couch? Is Gentrol ok to mix into the FenvaStar on mixing? Thanks for ALL your Help!

Answer:

We recommend that you vacuum every couple of days. You can apply DE to wall voids, electrical outlets, light switch plates and other areas where you do not want to treat with a liquid (around electrical wiring etc). You can mix Gentrol IGR and FenvaStar EcoCap together with water and apply to the baseboards and other listed areas on the product label. Bedlam can be applied the cracks and crevices of baseboards, headboards, footboards, hard surface furniture, behind picture frames and wall hangings, seams of the mattress, etc. We do recommend that you spray upholstered furniture with SteriFab.
