Should you remove kids toys, mattress when using Ultracide on carpet beetles?

Most of the carpet beetles were present in my children's rooms (carpeted rooms). Ultracide will be used next week to get rid of the beetles. However, do I need to (or would it be best) to remove all their toys and books from the bedroom? What about the clothes in the dressers and closet? I was told I can just place these items on top of the bed or dresser. Also, should I treat all carpeted areas in the home, even oriental rugs that are not close to baseboards?

Answer:

Please note that Ultracide is not labeled to control carpet beetles. When used as directed on the product label the product is being sprayed straight down on the floor or furniture that needs to sprayed and removing everything from the room is not necessary. The clothes in the dresser and closet should not be contacted by the spray as long as the drawers and door stay closed. All items should be removed from the floor so a thorough treatment can be achieved. When treating upholstered furniture, treat under cushions and areas where insect development occurs.
