Seems to work
By Pat in Raleigh, NC on 04/20/2013
Sprayed it once and weeds we've been pulling out for years started shriveling up. Only been a few days, but looks like we've got more grass, fewer weeds.

used a very small amount on some troublesome weeds that i sprayed multiple times with spectracide and ortho etc. those products had no effect. this product has that weed turned yellow now after 10 days. i may have to do a second application on some well entrenched crab grass.

Product does what it says it will do. Be patient - took a bit longer than it said it would but did the job. I used it on buttonweed.

I purchased the weed killer to rid my lawn of chickweed. Mixed 1 oz to 1 gallon as instructed and sprayed over one corner of the yard to see the effect of the solution. I have seen no effect whatsoever. It has been raining so I have not been able to spray a second time as mentioned in the product reviews. I will spray again as soon as I can and see if a second or third spray will make a difference. As I said, at this time there is no difference between the sprayed and unsprayed sections of the lawn.

QWill Southern Ag Lawn Weed Killer with Trimec kill my white and purple clover?
I don't want to kill the clovers but I do want to kill Dandelions. What would you recommend? Thank you.
AThe Southern Ag Lawn Weed Killer with Trimec is labeled to kill both dandelions and clover. We have heard of using a 2,4-D product such as the Hi-Yield at lower than recommended rates and spot spraying the dandelions only. There is still the potential to harm or stunt the clover but other than manually removing the dandelion there is not a broadleaf herbicide that may not also kill the clover.

QWill Southern Ag control or limit Torpedo grass without hurting Centipede grass?
I used last year during the early summer and appears to have killed areas of my Centipede. How can I control or eliminate Torpedo grass?
ASouthern Ag Lawn Weed Killer with Trimec is not labeled for torpedo-grass and the product label does warn that it can be damaging to centipede grass. Most of the herbicides will only suppress the torpedograss for a short time. It is recommended to spot treat the torpedo grass with a non-selective herbicide such as Round Up Quick Pro and then reseed or sod in the treated areas.

QI have a zoysia lawn in Missouri and I would like to kill the clover. Is this safe for zoysia?
I also have chickens that may have access to this area. How long should I keep them off of it after treatment?
A No, Southern Ag Lawn Weed Killer with Trimec is not labeled for zoysia grass. We would recommend using Bayer Advance All-In-One Lawn Weed and Crabgrass Killer. This is labeled to be used on zoysia grass for clover. You will use 3.2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. That will treat 500 sq. ft. Once the product has dried, your animals can return back to the area.
