5 of 5 stars  Flea killer
By Jeff in Olathe, KS on 08/30/2015

I have used this product a couple of times. I like that it is not lab created, but comes from a natural source. We had a problem with fleas in our house, very bad problem. I had used pyrethrin as flea dip in the past with good results. I found this product on your website for the best price and free shipping. It works great, mixed 1 part solution to 9 parts water, approx 1.5 gallons for 1700 sq ft coverage. Fleas gone in a few days. I combined it with Precor for long term control.

Fleas have been so bad this year and with me having asthma, bombing the house isn't an option. I read about pyrethrin and a google search brought me here. I love it doesn't have a bad smell or strong after odor. It has drastically reduced our flea pop. by 90% or so. Will by again if needed!!!

By Jb in mcminnville, tn on 09/03/2015

Made from natural materials (mums). Also contains Piperonyl Butoxide. Pyrethrin kills the insects and what few it does miss, the PB finishes off. Cleared thrips and aphids in one application. Very good product and worth the cost.

QDoes Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate kill spider mite eggs

ASouthern AG is not labeled to treat eggs. You want to use an Insect Growth Regulator that will help to stop the reproductive cycle and cause fatal abnormalities to the immature mites. You could use Nyguard IGR mixed in with Southern AG Natural Pyrethrin. Nyguard is not yet labeled for mites, but we have had many, many customers effectively use this product with a residual to eradicate mites.

QWill this work to treat my large dog of scabies mites? What concentration? Mixed in water or oil? Thank you.
My large afghan hound has scabies mites and is getting liquid ivermectin weekly. Not much success yet. I would like to do something topically for him. What is the concentration? What mixed with?

AThe Southern Ag Natural Pyrthrin concentrate is not labeled for use on pets and would likely not control the mites. Mites on pets are normally mange mites, the pet version of scabies as scabies is what its called on humans. If you are already getting treatments from the vet then that is the steps you should follow unless they specifically recommend a product that is labeled for mites that is safe for use not only on your pet, but in conjunction with the product that is already being used. Mites on pets are not something you can normally get rid of quickly so its best to give the product from the vet time to work.
