Copper Stuf-fit is a unique exlusion material that prevents pesky rodents from entering your home or office building. The Copper Stuffit is a copper mesh wool material that is rust-proof and stain-proof. Stuff it into openings around pipes or other holes and cracks in the structure and keep rats, mice, birds and other wildlife out. Because of the way the mesh is woven, it is very difficult for rodents to chew through it. Stuf-fit works best in holes and cracks around 2 inches in diameter. Larger holes should be repaired and sealed permanently.Stuf-Fit can be tacked, stapled or glued into any openings where it is needed. Each roll is 6 inches wide, double folded and comes in either 20 ft. or 100 ft long rolls. Stuf-Fit works best in holes less 2" or less in diameter. (larger holes should be sealed permanently)

Smart product. Inspector Approved!
By Inspector7 on September 25, 2011Copper mesh is clean and easy to work with. I've run my own home inspection business for 12 years. This is a big step up from stuffing steel wool in holes only to see it rust away in a few years and stain. Just be sure as with all copper, that it doesn't come in direct contact with galvanized metal flashings or pipes.

Mouse Control
By Al on December 18, 2012
Verified Purchase
Do My Own Pest Control provided me with supplies to take care of a pretty serious mouse problem. I ordered a dozen of their professional grade traps, a product that lures the mice, and a roll of this copper mesh. All 3 products were identical to those used by a professional exterminator service that I'd used in another home previously. My mouse problem is gradually disappearing and I attribute this to my use of the copper mesh inside several exterior openings around my home. It's easy to cut with an ordinary kitchen scissors, yet is very strong. I recommend this product highly and Do My Own Pest Control is a company I will deal with in the future if need be (although I really hope not)

Copper Mesh Easy to work with
By Steve on October 29, 2012Easy to store, easy to work with, easy to cut with scissors, and best of all, it works to keep the rodents out. Just a bit more than steel wool but worth it because it is so easy to use.

works great!
By Diane on October 8, 2012This is good stuff for pest control. Have used it to seal the gaps around window and door frames, around the foundation where the siding/house meet it. Doesn't rust like steel wool. Have seen a reduction in spiders and ants, and so far no mice this year. Will know more this time next year.

easy to use
By Jill on August 7, 2012This copper mesh handles well. It tears off, and it can be easily twisted into long ropes to stuff in cracks. It's not unsightly should a little bit of it peep out, and it doesn't rust like steel wool.

AThe Stuf-Fit copper mesh is indeed all copper and it does not contain any steel.
January 13, 2011Shuster's asked:
QWhat is STUF-FIT Copper Mesh used for exactly?
A The STUF-FIT copper mesh is used to close openings that rodents can get into. It is usually used with expanding foam. Typically, if you close an opening around a pipe or wire with just expanding foam, the rodents will eat through it. If you place STUF-FIT copper mesh in the hole first and then use expanding foam, the foam will encase the STUF-FIT. Then if rodents try to chew through the foam, they will ingest the tiny shards of STUF-FIT and it will kill the rodents. You can easily cut the STUF-FIT with a pair of scissors to fit any sized opening.
August 22, 2011Shirley from Martinez, Ca asked:
QDo I need to cement after I use Stuff-it mesh?
I have gaps between my house siding and foundation. To prevent rats from entering my house, do I need to apply a sealant(cement) after I use Stuff-It.? Or will using Stuff-it be enough and how long does the product last?
AStuff-it alone in cracks and areas where there are gaps is usually not enough to deter rodents since they can easily pull it out. You should either cement the stuffit in place or typically you would at least use an expandable foam in the crack or gap which will hold the stuff-it in place and prevent it from easily being pulled out.

June 29, 2012David from Jackson, Tn asked:
QIs it safe to use Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh to patch up around ac lines outside?
Hi, I have notice outside a hole where the Ac unit refrigerant lines run into my house is not ready covered and I feel that mice are using it as one of the ways to get into the house, is Stuf-Fit along with expanding foam is safe to use fill this hole?
AYou can use Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh to seal holes around the a/c lines as long as the holes are not larger than 2 inches.
December 8, 2010Robin asked:
QCan Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh be used to cover rectangular vent openings underneath soffits?
AStuf-Fit works best in holes and cracks around 2 inches in diameter. Any area larger than that, you should seek a different material. Perhaps a piece of hardware cloth with a small mesh weave would work best for you. The folks at your local home improvement store may have advice for you as well.
October 21, 2011John from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada asked:
QDo you ship to Nova Scotia, Canada? If yes, price please. I want 2 rolls of Stuf-fit.
AUnfortunately we do not ship to Canada at this time. Many of our Canadian customers will have a product shipped to someone in the United States that they happen to know like a friend or family member, and they they forward it onto Canada. We do offer FREE shipping within the US.
May 31, 2012Blair from Austin, Tx asked:
QHow much Stuff-fit Copper Mesh do I stuff into a weep hole?
I want to eliminate weep holes in brick facing as a vector for insects (ants, wasps, scorpions, etc.)
AThere is not a specific amount of Stuf-Fit copper mesh that you need to use. You will just take a small amount of the mesh, wad it up and push it into each hole. The exact amount will vary depending on the size of the hole. You want the mesh to have a tight fit into the hole so that it can not be bypassed or pushed out by insects or other small animals.
