Product Documents
SUSPEND® SC Insecticide with DeltaGard offers the benefits of deltamethrin in a concentrated suspension of pure micro-crystals. The micro-crystals give Suspend SC a long residual, (up to 3 months) and instead of being absorbed into porous materials, they stay on the surface. As a result, insects continue to contact them long after the insecticide has been applied. Yet Suspend SC leaves no visible residue, has virtually no odor, and won't clog spray equipment.
Suspend SC is a versatile insecticide approved for a wide variety of uses including indoor and outdoor, residential, industrial, and institutional applications. It's even approved for use in restaurants and other places where food is manufactured, processed or served. Outdoors, it can be applied to turf grass and landscape ornamentals. It's highly effective against many important pests from ants and cockroaches to spiders, scorpions and bedbugs. 16 oz.
Application Tips
* Treatments may be applied at 21-day intervals, or as necessary, to maintain adequate control.
* Treat specific areas that insects inhabit or where they are frequently found.
* Use 0.25 to 1.5 fluid ounces of SUSPEND® SC in one gallon of water and apply to adequately cover 1,000 sq. ft. Under conditions of severe pest infestations, when quick knockdown and/or longer residual control is desired, use 1 gallon of 0.06% per 1,000 sq. ft.
* When diluting, it is recommended to add approximately half the water to the spray tank, then add the proper amount of Suspend SC in accordance with the rates in the appropriate proportion. Agitate, then add the remaining water slowly to avoid excess foam. Thoroughly agitate the sprayer before using to insure proper suspension.
* If spraying is interrupted when using a backpack or handheld spray equipment, reinvert sprayer before use.

Suspends the bugs
By Retired on October 27, 2008Yes, that is right, Suspend SC suspends the bugs. It is so easy to apply and has no smell to it. I am glad to have found this website so I could do my own exterminating. If you can wash your hands or make a sandwich you can apply these chemicals. Make sure you buy a good pump sprayer at least as good as the one on this website for around $49. The first application will pay for itself. No more expensive visits from these so called professionals. Take it from me, retired early, I did not retire early by spending all my money. Good luck.

This product works!
By AJ on October 9, 2008We live in a valley that is also backed by woods. I just ordered Suspend SC this year to use for asian beetles. Every year since we moved into our older house they would come about this time (the first couple weeks of october) and they literally cover the outside of our home. They get into everything, our laundry, light fixtures, food, etc. They stink and stain everything. The only way we could do anything was by vacuuming them. But I told my husband I wasn't ruining another $500 vacuum because of this problem anymore. I did some research and found this site (sooo glad) because a few days ago we sprayed the entire outside of the house, especially the windows. As I sit here right now typing, there are no lady bugs entering my house! Last year at this time I would already have my vacuum out. I went outside and looked on the house and there are hardly any landing on the spray, and those that do seem to be dying quickly. I cannot thank this site enough. I am deadly afraid of spiders and get them bad in my basement as well, but after reading other reviews I guess I won't be worry about those either!

Highly recommend
By Doyle on June 8, 2007Before spraying with Suspend SC, both my home and the homes around me were infested badly with roaches, spiders, ants and centipedes. After spraying the perimeter of my home and the inside with Suspend SC, I was sweeping up roaches, centipedes and spiders by the hundreds for about three days. then I would find roaches and centipedes that had tried to cross the boundaries I had treated. They would die within about six feet of crossing it. I would recommend it for the novice or for the professional over all other products. I would recommend all the products from this company as excellent.

Outstanding results!
By Dave on August 22, 2008I bought a place in the woods and the spiders were very bad in my basement. My wife said I needed to do something or the washing was not going to get done (washer and dryer in basement). So I tried Suspend SC and the results are outstanding. It's like a bad massacre. The bugs don't have a chance. Suspend is the best at a good price.

Easy to use insecticide. I mixed 1.5 oz of Suspend SC to a gallon of water and sprayed my troubled areas. One area that I needed treatment in was the garage. I sprayed the inside perimeter and it worked like gang busters. I had cockroaches bellied-up in no time. It works like gang busters!

I bought this for chigger control on our swimming pool patio, and it worked well. It seems to have killed pretty much everything else too. I'm not getting bugs in the pool like I have in previous years. I would recommend this product.

Wow, this stuff works!
By Chad on May 30, 2013

We live in an area with a lot of box elder trees, so the box elder bugs are unbelievable and many get into the house. Following the instructions to make a gallon of this stuff and spraying (with a cheap pump sprayer) around the lower 2' of the house netted incredible results. I've seen a couple of really ambitious ones make it under the patio door since, but they usually don't make it more than a few feet beyond it. The scene outside the house was horrific the next day. There were thousands of dead box elder bugs. I also spray under the soffits on the house and now there are no cobwebs to have to clean anymore either. Same with the garage. It claims to be safe around people and animals, so that's good.

April 23, 2010 R asked:
QWhat is the shelf life of Suspend SC and Demand CS?
I see no expiration date on my bottles of Talstar, Suspend SC and Demand CS. What is the shelf life on these products?
ATalstar P, Suspend SC and Demand CS have a shelf life of about 3-5 years from the date of purchase. They should be stored in a place where they are protected from over heating, freezing and direct sunlight to ensure the longest shelf life possible.
August 9, 2010 Doug asked:
QHow much Suspend SC do I mix in a 2 gallon sprayer for exterior residential application?
AYou should use 1 ounce of Suspend SC for each gallon of water for general pest control outdoors.
October 23, 2009 Crystal asked:
QI have small children and want to use Suspend SC for spider control in my home. Is it safe?
AYes, Suspend SC and all of our products are safe as long as you follow the instructions on the label. When mixed with water, these products are only strong enough to kill small insects. You should keep all children and pets out of the room while you are treating. Use common sense when applying, you obviously do not want to spray on any toys or around pets food and water bowls. Wait 30 minutes for product to dry, then it is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the room.
May 24, 2010 Dan asked:
QHow long can Suspend SC be stored for after mixing?
After mixing Suspend SC, can the unused portion in the sprayer be stored for a period of time?
AMost sprayer manufacturers warn against storing insecticides inside the sprayer. Storing liquids (even plain water) inside the sprayer can cause the rubber components to deteriorate quickly and make the sprayer inoperable. Only mix exactly what you can use and discard any left over solution and thoroughly rinse the sprayer after each use.
January 24, 2010 Maureen asked:
QCan I spray Suspend SC on anything inside the house?
I'm trying to get rid of what I am assuming to be bed bugs, but may be some other type of small insect that is biting at night. I am assuming and hoping that this product can get rid of whatever it is. Can I spray Suspend SC on anything inside the house? Where and on what can I spray this product?
ASuspend SC can applied to mattresses, especially tufts, folds, and edges until moist. You should also apply to the interior of the frame. Allow to dry before remaking bed. Also you would want to treat around the perimeter of the room, baseboards, feet of the bed, etc. You may want to try one of our Bed Bug Kits which have a variety of products which are proven to treat bed bugs.

Jerry from Milwaukee, Wi. asked:

May 8, 2013
Jim from Chicago asked:
QHow often do you spray for roaches, once a week or more?
ATo treat for roaches we recommend spraying once every 21 days with suspend and also using a roach bait like Maxforce FC magnum. Apply the bait once a week. You want to bait high and spray low. Bait around counter tops, appliances, cabinets, bathrooms, etc. Please view our article on roach treatment.
May 3, 2013
Ed from El Cajon, Ca asked:
QWill Suspend SC also kill termites?
AYou can use Suspend for localized control of an active infestation. Suspend should not be used to control future infestations. For this purpose we recommend Termidor SC. Here is a great article that explains how to put down a liquid barrier treatment: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/how-to-perform-termite-treatment-a-87.html
May 2, 2013 Carolyn asked:
QAre Gentrol and Suspend SC the proper treatment to kill bed bugs?
if so what is the mixture ratio? Help!!
A We do not usually recommend Suspend for bedbug treatments because of the risk of resistance. Please take a look at our bedbug kits to see the products we recommend for bedbug treatments: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bed-bug-kits-c-39_97.html You will notice that there are several product formulations in each kit and this is to guard against resistance issues.

Vincent from Chicago,il asked:
QI used Suspend SC in my new home 3-weeks ago. I have wiped down the house 3-times before I bring the kids & dog
home I clean with just water to make sure that the little balls want be on the kids or pets how mant times should I clean with water to make sure that what flowed is not still suspended in the home
AWhen using Suspend SC as directed on the product label you would apply only to cracks, crevices, voids and other inaccessible areas. If you followed the product label it is not necessary to wipe down anything. The kids and pets simply need to stay out of the area until it has dried and then they can safely return. The only time you would need to wipe anything off would be if you over sprayed onto areas not listed on the product label. If that was the case you would need to wash the area down with soap and water to remove any insecticide.
April 14, 2013 Lee asked:
QIs Suspend SC safe on carpet?
bout 2 treat 4 fleas
ASuspend SC is not labeled as a broadcast spray on carpets. However, you can use as a crack, crevice, perimeter spray indoors and out.

Steve from Athelstane, Wi asked:
QIs springtime a good time to begin spraying around our cabin for fall and winter indoor fly problems?
We've had a bad winter with cluster flies and want to improve our chances for next fall. Do we spray perimeter only or also indoors? Thanks.
AYou can go ahead and spray the exterior now to help stop the population from building but the actual exclusion sprays are recommended to start in August. Most of the exclusion applications are applied on the exterior of the structure though spraying inside and outside of window frames, door frames, and places where cables, pipes and wires enter in to the structure will double your chance of controlling the flies before they gather indoors.
March 30, 2013 Cary asked:
QHow does Suspend SC compare to Talstar P?
ABoth the Suspend SC and the Talstar P contain synthetic pyrethroids for active ingredients and will provide very similar results. The only advantage to using Talstar P over Suspend SC is that it is known to be super gentle on most plants (do not use on edible vegetation) and is virtually odorless while Suspend Sc does have a slight odor. Both products can be used indoors and outdoors and both products are safe to use in houses with children and pets.

Saurabh from Lorton, Va asked:
QCan we spray Suspend SC on our lawn as preventive care?
Can we spray Suspend SC on our lawn as preventive care to any kind of pests this product could take care off. If yes, what should be the mixing ratio.
A Suspend SC can be used as a broadcast spray on lawns and on ornamental plants to protect these areas from lawn/ornamental plant infesting insects and it can be used as a perimeter barrier spray to stop pests from getting into your home. Each of these applications and application rates are very different. Can you tell us specifically what type of application you are trying to complete so we can better advise you?
