    Q
How do I eliminate chiggers in my yard? We have 4 acres with a pond.
    A
I would recommend Suspend SC for chiggers in your yard. One gallon of solution treats about 1,000 sq. ft. so you would need over 43 gallons of solution for just one acre.

    Q
    Will Suspend SC kill symphylans?
will suspend SC kill symphylans aka garden centipedes?
    A
Suspend SC would probably kill symphylans that came into contact with it, but this product cannot be used in an edible garden. Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is labeled for garden symphylan and can be used on edibles. Surface sprays offer limited control for garden centipedes because of the pest's ability to establish deep into the soil. You should also pack soil well before planting to reduce populations of this pest.

  • Asked by Robert from Tulllahoma, Tn
    07/17/2014
    Q
Is Suspend SC effective in controlling/exterminating brown recluse spiders?
Is Suspend safe to use around children and pets?
    A
Suspend SC is great for treating spiders and their food source (which naturally drives them away from the area). It is safe for children and pets if used as directed on product label. Make sure they are not in the area during the application of the product and when the surfaces are wet. Once the treated areas are dry, they can re-enter. We recommend mixing 1.5 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft and treating monthly on the exterior of the structure and once every 90 days to indoor cracks and crevices.

  • Asked by Bessie from Miami

    Q
Spray frenquency for mix of Temprid and Suspend SC
I'm planning to mix Temprid with Suspend SC for bed bugs treatment. According to the label, Temprid should be applied once a week; Suspend SC should be applied every three weeks. My question is how often I should apply the spray of the mix of Temprid and Suspend SC. Thank you!
    A
There would be no need to mix Suspend SC with Temprid. In fact, we recommend to only use Temprid coupled with dusting in wall voids. You want to reapply Temprid once every 7-14 days for bed bugs.

  • Asked by Phil from Spring Hill, Fl

    Q
Which pesticide would be effective in Florida environment? Suspend? Cy-Kick? Other recommendations?
Is there much difference in effectiveness of synthetic pyrethrins?
    A
It really depends on if you have a specific issue? For general pest control in FL, Cy kick works wonders. Cy-kick CS liquid concentrate insecticide provides 90 days of full-throttle killing power, controlling insects indoors and outdoors. With a broad spectrum label including spiders, ants, mosquitoes, bees, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, bed bugs, silverfish, ticks, wasps, wood infesting borers and more, you don’t have to pick and choose between different insecticides for different pests.

I need one product for inside insects and one for the outside barrier to combat the various basic insects found in the Central Florida area. What could you advise?

It does dry clear as well. You will mix 0.25 fl. oz. to 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water in a pump sprayer. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Can I spray Suspend SC on my lawn to treat fleas?
    A
Suspend SC is labeled for outdoor applications for fleas. You will mix 1.5 fluid ounces per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. We highly recommend adding an insect growth regulator to the mix to impede their reproduction. Pivot 10 would be a great choice.

  • Asked by Christa from Pa
    10/25/2014
    Q
    flea problems
I want something to spray on the my carpets and couch. It says you can but then discourages putting on the couches. I have a 5 year old and a three year old so it concerns me chemicals but something has to be done. Please help. What is the best Suspend SC or would Demize ER work better?
    A

Suspend SC is a good option for fleas. You would need to mix an IGR (insect growth regulator) with it to make sure the fleas do not reproduce. We would recommend the same with Demize EC. These products should be added to water and directly applied with a gallon sprayer to problem areas such as rugs, carpets, furniture, pet bedding, baseboards, and cracks and crevices

We would recommend using Ultracide. It contains an insecticide, as well as an IGR (insect growth regulator). This will stop the fleas from reproducing. It is safe to spray on your furniture. This will kill the flea larvae and eggs as well as the adult fleas. You will do your first treatment and then vacuum daily for 14 days and do a second treatment. Sometimes a third and/or fouth treatment is necessary.

We would not recommend spraying when the children are in the room. Once the products have had time to dry, 2-4 hours, they can return to the room(s) that have been treated.

    Q
    Suspend SC for spider mites?
Had spider mites in my indoor garden if I empty the garden and treat with Suspend SC will that rid me of the spider mites?
    A
Suspend SC is not labeled to treat spider mites so we would not recommend it.  Most folks choose a product such as Talstar P as it is labeled for spider mites and is known to be gentle on plants.

  • Asked by Philip from Saginaw

    Q
Is this Suspend SC safe for wildlife (birds, lizards) and beneficial insects?
I am concerned about affecting birds, lizards, and earthworms if I were to use this product.
    A
Suspend SC is not selective and will eliminate any insect that contacts the treated area, including beneficial insects. You can help eliminate the impact on beneficial insects by limiting the application to only areas where actually needed. After the prdocut has dried it is not harmful to other animals.

  • Asked by Justin from Ravenwood, Mo

    Q
Will the Suspend SC wipe out the fleas in my garage?
I took in a mama cat and her 5 kittens a couple months ago. Well the kittens all have new homes and mama is back outside but our garage is now home to a ton of fleas. I bought PT Ultracide and used the entire can on our garage yesterday. So this morning I went out to check and got absolutely blitzed by fleas. I had 15-20 of them on me in the less than a minute that I was out there. I was really hoping that they would be dead by now but a least they all appeared to be jittery. So I think that they are on their way out. Just thought that it would work a bit faster. I bought the Ultracide after two applications of TalstarP. But that stuff has been in my garage for 4-5 years and I have doubts that it's any good after that many summers and winters. I have Suspend SC and precor in my cart. If I still have fleas in a week or two, will those two wipe out the rest or should I get more Ultracide?
    A

The main thing to know when dealing with fleas is that there is no overnight fix for them, it can take multiple applications to completely eliminate them sometimes 2-3 treatments or more.  You also want to make sure that you are following the instructions on the product labels that you are using.  Suspend SC? is not labeled to be used anymore often than once every 21 days.   Per the product label for indoor applications, you should also only apply as a coarse, low pressure crack and crevice spot treatment to problem areas and infested habitats. Do not treat entire floor, carpet or floor coverings. Do not apply as a space spray. Application to furniture should be restricted to areas where prolonged contact by humans will not occur. Care should be taken to limit spot treatment to pet beds and infested floor coverings. Suspend SC would not be a good choice for indoor flea control because it can not be used over cracks and crevices only. For indoors, we would highly recommend our Indoor Flea Kit.  It is our most popular product for indoor flea control and is usually the final treatment that people end up using that works when they have tried everything else.

  • Asked by J.b. from Lafayette, La
    07/29/2016
    Q
Can Suspend SC be mixed with Lambdastar 9.7% for broader coverage?
    A

There is no valid reason to mix Suspend SC and Lambdastar 9.7% together, it would not make either product work better or produce better results, though it could make treated areas repellent to insects lessening the effectiveness of the treatment.
