This is the Talpird Mole TRAP. We also sell Talpirid Mole Bait.
The new Talpirid Mole Trap presents the latest in mole trap technology from Bell Labs. This excellent trap is made of durable heavy-duty nylon and features a yellow foot pedal that makes the trap "hands free", safe, and easy to use. Watch the video which shows how to use the trap. Then after using a spade shovel as directed, simply place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal, which sets the trigger below the surface. Forcing it could cause breakage. The trap's low profile allows it to sit close to the level of the ground. When the trap is triggered, the yellow foot pedal springs up notifying you of the kill. The thing we love about the Talpirid Mole Trap is that it can be safely disengaged and relocated to other mole tunnels, depending on the severity of the infestation. Plus, you can use the trap over and over again for multiple kills.
We recommend using the Talpirid Mole Trap in combination with Talpirid Mole Bait, one of the best mole baits on the market today.
|Application:||Use a spade shovel as video directs to place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal which sets the trigger below the surface. Forcing into the soil could cause breakage. The trap has a low profile, when set, as it sits close to the ground. The yellow foot pedal springs up making notification of capture easy and safe.|
|Material/Construction:||glass-filled nylon, TALPIRID Mole Trap will not rust and can be used over and over again...in all types of soils.|
|Special Features:||Designed for safe, easy use, TALPIRID Mole Trap features dual springs for maximum power and curved jaws that scoop moles for improved capture. The trap's yellow foot pedal makes setting "hands free." The trap can be easily and safely disengaged and relocated to other mole tunnels, depending on mole pressure.|

The Talprid Mole Trap is safe and easy to use. Using a spade the way the video directs, place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal, which sets the trigger below the surface. If you force the trap into the dirt without using a spade as directed, it could cause breakage. The trap's low profile allows it to sit close to the level of the ground. When the trap is triggered, the yellow foot pedal springs up notifying you of the kill. For weeks I have been noticing tunnels all over my yard and figured I had a mole. Search the internet for ways to get rid of them. I found the Talpirid Mole Trap and figured I give it a try. I received it yesterday, set it last night, and this morning I had the mole. This thing is awesome!

Best Trap Ever
By Joseph on September 15, 2010
Placed this on an active tunnel in the front yard and within an hour had the offending mole. A couple of weeks later had another active tunnel in the back yard and had the same results. Two dead moles in so many weeks. If you want to get rid of your moles quickly and easily buy this trap!!!

When we received the trap, we set it and within an hour we got that pesky little critter. Since then we've gotten two more. It does what it says it will do. Great buy

Works great but difficult to set
By Mike on October 24, 2010
I had a mole after only a few hours of first setting the trap. It took at least 10 minites to properly cut the slots for the jaws. This is the most difficult part of getting this trap set.
Talpirid Mole Trap

I have spent many hundreds of dollars trying to trap or poison moles and have never caught or killed a mole. (I have used numerous styles of traps, bates, poisons, castor oil pellets, insecticides, smoke bombs, etc.) This is the only trap that I've successfully caught moles with, ever!! This one is the best, because it really works. There is no better feeling than seeing that the trap is sprung, and finally pulling up a dead mole.

I used this trap according to written instructions and have trapped many-many of these lawn destroying critters. This trap is the best on the market.

This product is one of our best purchases. We have spent hundreds of dollars over the last few years dealing with moles on our property. We even had professional pest control companies use bait and traps to no avail. Within 6 hours we caught our first mole and 12 hours later his friend! They are uncomplicated and easy to set.

I have had very little luck with this trap it trips when a mole activates it but the trap jaws are to wide apart to catch it. only caught one, many activates.

Not so easy to use.
By Rick on September 15, 2014
I have a thick fescue lawn in Georgia red clay. The 5 inch wide by 5 inch deep slits you have to dig MUST have a wide enough diameter for the jaws to move easily. No easy task in compacted wet clay. Don't try pushing the yellow spring arm down if they are not, or you will get nowhere and sprain your knee. Keeping as small mole tunnel in one piece which may lay slightly under the grass surface is not easy either. Positioning the trigger exactly over the existing mole hole after spending considerable time to dig the jaw slits is a real challenge. I would suggest just getting the poison worms and forget the trap. I used the worms instead and while walking over a tunnel two days later - a barely alive mole popped out of the ground where I stepped on a shallow tunnel. Buy the worms and apply as directed.
Months of Agony Ended!

After months of having this brazen little f%&@#er terrorize our lawn... we finally got him with this trap!!! Doing the happy dance today. :) We tried several other methods but nothing worked. Bought this one week ago, set it and waited. Had a pleasant surprise this morning. Great product!
Talpirid Mole Trap

The trap is a quality product and has easy set up. The only issue I have so far is the mole has been smarter than me and the trap. I have no doubt he will soon make a mistake and success will be the outcome. Persistence is the key.
what a surprise

caught a mole 1/2 hr after the trap was delivered. unfortunately, nothing since. but I know that it works

The Jaws of Death
By Mole on July 9, 2014
This thing is a killer. Literally. My suburban lot backs up to a wild patch which connects to a state conservation area. We get lots of wildlife in our yard which is great for viewing but can totally wreck our yard and gardens. We have tried lots of things for moles and these traps top them all. It doesn't rust. It doesn't wear off like the repellents. It does disappear like the baits. It just works over and over again.

February 14, 2011Willia asked:
QHow do you set the Talpirid Mole Trap? Once it has caught a mole how do you remove the remains?
I didn't understand the customers review of setting the jaws. Could you explain it and also explain removing the dead mole? Thanks
AWe believe the manufacturer explains setting the trap and removing the remains best. Please take a few minutes to read over the illustrated instructions: Talpirid Mole Trap Instructions. We have provided the link here for your convenience, but the instructions link is always available on the Talpirid Mole Trap page.
May 25, 2012Dave from Lawrence, Ks asked:
QI have a small dog and garden cat. Is the Talpirid trap safe to set with them wandering around my yard?
AWhen the trap is in use the forks or business end of the trap is actually underground and won't be exposed to your pets. If you are worried that they can potentially disturb the Talpirid trap you can put a 5 gallon bucket over the trap to make it inaccessible to your pets.

June 13, 2014Misty from Warner Robins, Ga asked:
QWould the Talpirid Mole Trap work for voles also?
Still not sure what the critters are, had "professional exterminators", told me they are voles, but never caught any... What the cat got thou, looks like a mole. Would the trap work for both? The "impeller" traps we have now didn't kill either. Our 5 ac yard is a MESS!
A The Talpirid Mole Trap is only labeled to trap moles. For more information on the products that we carry for controllig voles, please click on the link below. Please let us know if you need anything else.
