Talpirid Mole TRAP

This is the Talpird Mole TRAP. We also sell Talpirid Mole Bait.

The new Talpirid Mole Trap presents the latest in mole trap technology from Bell Labs. This excellent trap is made of durable heavy-duty nylon and features a yellow foot pedal that makes the trap "hands free", safe, and easy to use. Watch the video which shows how to use the trap. Then after using a spade shovel as directed, simply place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal, which sets the trigger below the surface. Forcing it could cause breakage. The trap's low profile allows it to sit close to the level of the ground. When the trap is triggered, the yellow foot pedal springs up notifying you of the kill. The thing we love about the Talpirid Mole Trap is that it can be safely disengaged and relocated to other mole tunnels, depending on the severity of the infestation. Plus, you can use the trap over and over again for multiple kills.

We recommend using the Talpirid Mole Trap in combination with Talpirid Mole Bait, one of the best mole baits on the market today.

Target pests: Moles
Application: Use a spade shovel as video directs to place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal which sets the trigger below the surface. Forcing into the soil could cause breakage. The trap has a low profile, when set, as it sits close to the ground. The yellow foot pedal springs up making notification of capture easy and safe.
Material/Construction: glass-filled nylon, TALPIRID Mole Trap will not rust and can be used over and over again...in all types of soils.
Special Features: Designed for safe, easy use, TALPIRID Mole Trap features dual springs for maximum power and curved jaws that scoop moles for improved capture. The trap's yellow foot pedal makes setting "hands free." The trap can be easily and safely disengaged and relocated to other mole tunnels, depending on mole pressure.

The Talprid Mole Trap is safe and easy to use.  Using a spade the way the video directs, place the trap jaws in an active mole tunnel and step on the trap's yellow foot pedal, which sets the trigger below the surface.  If you force the trap into the dirt without using a spade as directed, it could cause breakage. For weeks I have been noticing tunnels all over my yard and figured I had a mole. Search the internet for ways to get rid of them. I found the Talpirid Mole Trap and figured I give it a try. I received it yesterday, set it last night, and this morning I had the mole. This thing is awesome!

Placed this on an active tunnel in the front yard and within an hour had the offending mole. A couple of weeks later had another active tunnel in the back yard and had the same results. Two dead moles in so many weeks. If you want to get rid of your moles quickly and easily buy this trap!!!

4 of 5 stars  Works great but difficult to set
By Mike in Hermitage, TN on 10/24/2010

I had a mole after only a few hours of first setting the trap. It took at least 10 minites to properly cut the slots for the jaws. This is the most difficult part of getting this trap set.

5 of 5 stars  Work for me
By Trey in Ridgeville, SC on 05/09/2016

I'm not usually a "reviewer", but i'm a excited enough about finally killing moles that I'll be one today. I've caught/killed 2 moles in the last 3 weeks since owning 2 of these traps. There is an art to it that develops with practice, but as a farmer starting out with blueberries and pecans, and seeing the little bastards rip through the young root systems, I find it extremely gratifyling to see a a mole clamped in it when it springs. If I had more time to spend with it, I'm sure I'd have caught more by now, but I've been out of town for a week and a half of those 3 weeks. It works.

By Tim in murray ky on 02/29/2016

Got my first one this morning. The trap was in the ground for almost a week. As concerns of effectiveness began to grow sure enough the trap was up this morning and I had that little guy. Follow the instructions (be certain you open the ground with the spade. This will permit the trap to close more freely and quicker. This does work. Going after more of those little critters !!

By David in Jacksonville, FL on 10/22/2015

Well built. I have placed it for several days in four different areas. Have not caught anything yet even-though it has sprung several times. I cannot say it is solving my mole problem. But I am holding out hope.

I have been using the traps for 2 years and they are great. I have caught 9 moles so far, including 2 in one day . I highly recommend that you do your homework on moles and use this product. I broke several of the traps and they replaced them for free. Then I ordered more and love the results . E joy

By Arnie in Loris, SC on 10/04/2015

Trying to rid my yard of at least 2 maybe 3 moles. Sandy soil is not conducive to this style trap, whereas it rides up and can't do it's job the way the trap was intended to work. Maybe, an area which has more firm soil or clay would work for this trap. Haven't given up just yet, coming up with ideas to stake it down.

5 of 5 stars  Talpirid Mole Trap
By Jack in Charleston, SC on 01/05/2015

I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to eradicate moles in my yard (various styles of traps, poisons, insecticides, smoke bombs, castor oil pellets, noise makers, etc.) This is the only trap that I have used that works. I've caught two moles so far, and will with patience catch a few more. The directions are easy. Place the trap in an active tunnel area (long straight tunnel by drive way or other boundary). Make sure the trap can spring freely (see directions). Kill moles.

I have spent many hundreds of dollars trying to trap or poison moles and have never caught or killed a mole. (I have used numerous styles of traps, bates, poisons, castor oil pellets, insecticides, smoke bombs, etc.) This is the only trap that I've successfully caught moles with, ever!! This one is the best, because it really works. There is no better feeling than seeing that the trap is sprung, and finally pulling up a dead mole.

QHow do you set the Talpirid Mole Trap? Once it has caught a mole how do you remove the remains?
I didn't understand the customers review of setting the jaws. Could you explain it and also explain removing the dead mole? Thanks

AWe believe the manufacturer explains setting the trap and removing the remains best. Please take a few minutes to read over the illustrated instructions: Talpirid Mole Trap Instructions. We have provided the link here for your convenience, but the instructions link is always available on the Talpirid Mole Trap page.

QI have a small dog and garden cat. Is the Talpirid trap safe to set with them wandering around my yard?

AWhen the trap is in use the forks or business end of the trap is actually underground and won't be exposed to your pets. If you are worried that they can potentially disturb the Talpirid trap you can put a 5 gallon bucket over the trap to make it inaccessible to your pets.

QWould the Talpirid Mole Trap work for voles also?
Still not sure what the critters are, had "professional exterminators", told me they are voles, but never caught any... What the cat got thou, looks like a mole. Would the trap work for both? The "impeller" traps we have now didn't kill either. Our 5 ac yard is a MESS!

A

The Talpirid Mole Trap is only labeled to trap moles. For more information on the products that we carry for controllig voles, please click on the link below. Please let us know if you need anything else.

QHow do I reset the Talpirid mole trap?
I set the mole trap, and the large yellow part came up indicating a capture. When I removed the trap, there was no mole, but the jaws were closed together. I am trying to re set it but cannot figure out how. I put in into the ground above another mole tunnel, and step on it to set, but that does not work. I originally set it by pressing the end up against a concrete wall. When I do that now, I can get the jaws to open but I cannot find a way to keep them open. There appears to be a latch but I cannot get anything to work.

APlease take a look at this video and see if this helps you to set the trap. If it does not, please give us a call so we can further assist you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-R9iDDVl5g
