Talstar aerosol
By Maureen on March 16, 2012This was just the product we needed to spray the top of the soil and the inside of the containers for fungus gnats. It was very effective and defused an angry customer! It is not a fine mist aerosol, though. It's a heavier spray and foams a little, which worked fine for this use. The best part is that there was NO ODOR!

Good Indoor Companion to Talstar Liquid Concentrate
By TS on April 2, 2012I don't like to broadcast spray Talstar or Bifen liquid around inside the hose as I do outside and in the garage. This gives the same good results with a great residual, but allows more specific application. One can should cover our four bedroom, three bath house about three times applied every 4 months. May last longer than that; not sure yet. Immediately very effective and still going strong. No odor and no staining.

- Does NOT work on stink bugs
By Anne on October 3, 2012I bought this because it seemed to be the easy-to-use, already-mixed aerosol version of Talstar Pro, which reviewers said worked on stink bugs. This aerosol did NOT work on my stink bugs. I live in Pittsburgh and have them crawling through my air conditioning unit like crazy. Last night, I sprayed the cover of the unit and surrounding walls where I have been seeing them. When I got home today, I expected to see either no bugs or a lot of dead ones. I came home to find 10-15 happily flying around my apartment. Now, a few were dead but I'm unsure whether that was from the spray or my cats. So, in my experience, this was ineffective against stink bugs.

Product is Excellent...but...
By ga on May 1, 2013 Verified PurchaseTalstar AEROSOL is very good, but after using the product to the point where the can is half full, the can gives out...It sputters, & spits, but hardly no comes out. Imho, "Do My Own Pest Control" needs to perfect the delivery of this product via the aerosol can. otherwise this is an excellent product.

i need something very effective to kill fleas and roaches in the house. But I don't want the chemicals that are too strong/dangerous for human. I have toddlers and a baby who put everything in their mouth.
ATalstar Aerosol is a crack and crevice product and if applied according to the product label, directly into cracks, crevices and voids, the product should not really be exposed to anything your children might put in their mouths. Be sure the children are out of the area while you are applying Talstar Aerosol and they can come back into the area after all surfaces have dried. Talstar Aerosol is probably not the best option for flea control because it cannot be applied to all of the surfaces where fleas like to harbor. Instead we recommend you use Ultracide. Ultracide is a very safe and effective flea control product that is used widely by professional companies in homes with children and pets all the time. Ultracide is a better choice because it can be broadcast sprayed over infested areas and it contains insecticide and an insect growth regulator to stop the breeding cycle of the fleas while you are trying to get rid of the infestation. You should only apply this product to carpeted areas and upholstered areas. Do not apply on top of couches and chairs where people rest their arms, fleas do not breed in these areas. You would want to spray around the foot of the furniture, and underneath couch cushions. You should have children and pets in another room while you are treating. After treatment allow 30 minutes to dry and then it is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the room. It is important to vacuum immediately before the treatment and everyday for the following 14 days to help get rid of the fleas. A second application should be done after 14 days.

ACy-Kick and Talstar are both synthetic pyrethroids and will provide very similar results. Talstar is our most popular booklice product. The presence of booklice usually indicates a moisture problem that must be resolved to gain complete control of the infestation.
