Dead Fire Ants!!
By John on April 6, 2013
I live in SE Texas and have been fighting fire ants all my life. This works. I have tried it several ways: dry on the mound, with a little water first then the product then a little more water, product then a little water. Water first then product then a little more water works the best. About 70% of the time the mound is killed first application. When it doesn't, small survival that does not move more than a few feet and dead with a 2nd application. Highly recommend great stuff.

March 11, 2013Dale from Sterling, Va asked:
QCan Talstar N be used on lawns to control Gnats? If so how frequently should it be applied?
ATalstar N cannot be used on residential lawns. Talstar PL granules could help eliminate fungus gnat larvae but generally the gnats that are bothering you outdoors are not fungus gnats. You can use Talstar P Liquid to spray topically on plants, bushes and on the lawn to control other gnat species as they land on treated areas.

If so, what's the appl rate /100 sqft? Just to clarify, I am talking about the Talstar N Nursery granular insecticide
AThe Talstar N is for Agricultural and Commercial Use Only so would not be applied to your flower beds. A better product for you would be the Talstar Xtra. Talstar XTRA Granules are an excellent choice for fire ant control
