DESCRIPTION: Talstar Granules (Talstar PL) are used to control Ants (including Imported Fire Ants), roaches, spiders, fleas, ticks, worms, crickets, and almost all other insect pests on lawns, in landscaped areas and gardens, and perimeters of residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas and athletic fields. Talstar granules release chemical over time as it rains. One application of Talstar granules can protect your lawn areas for 2 to 3 months. It is safe against non-target animals such as birds, pets, and other mammals.
USE: Talstar granules is generally used in two ways: It can be applied as a perimeter barrier directed in a five to ten foot band around your home, or it can be generally broadcast over your entire yard including landscaped areas. A normal application usually consists of three to five pounds of product. We recommend applying Talstar PL granules with a hand spreader. One 25lb. bag covers 5,000-10,000 square feet. Always read the label.

Scorpions reside hidden in cracks and voids during the day and are active at night at temperatures above 77ºF/25ºC. Resting areas can be identified at night using a blacklight (UV bulb) as scorpions will fluoresce. These areas should also be treated. Prior to treatment, to increase treatment efficacy, remove trash, debris, or firewood that scorpions may use as resting sites.

May be applied at up to 0.4 lb. a.i. per acre per application on non-residential use sites (i.e., around institutional, public, commercial or industrial buildings; parks; recreational areas or athletic fields). Do not broadcast apply more than 0.4 lbs. A.I. (200 lbs. Talstar PL Granular) per Acre per year. Not for use on golf courses, sod farms, nurseries, in commercial greenhouses or on grass grown for seed.

Talstar PL did a great job for a couple month at killing almost everything in my yard. I still have a problem with fire ants and yellow jackets nesting. I have seen a large number of crickets popping up lately.
How soon after watering in Talstar PL Granules can you let your pet on the treated surface?
It is perfectly safe to let your pet back on the treated surface after one hour of watering in the Talstar PL Granules.
I have a Lesco commercial spreader. What setting should I set it on for a 0.2 application?
We are not famliar with that type of spreader since we do not sell it. We would reccommend calling Lesco or you can try calling FMC (manufacturer of Talstar Granules) at 1-800-321-1362.
