Product Overview

Tomahawk Sparrow Live Trap with 2 Trap Doors - Model 501 will capture and hold upwards of twenty small birds at one time. The trick to making this trap effective is to place water and food in the area you plan on placing the trap for several days prior this trap. Remember when you set the live bird trap you should have a source of water in or very near the trap for the birds. Once the birds enter the trap, they cannot get out.

This trap does not have actual doors that close but has wire at the end of a funnel entrance that can be bent to adjust the size if needed, not required.

Haven't caught one bird. Very disappointed. I'll be throwing this cage on the junk metal pile.

    Not What We Hoped

    By Chris on 05/19/2023

We can catch sparrows with this trap everyday BUT they are able to escape. I've tried bending the wires in increments making the opening smaller and smaller but they still mange to squeeze out. Trying to figure out how to put a one way flap or something similar so once the sparrows are in they cannot exit. Right now I feel like I wasted my hard earned money on a trap that is useless.
