I've been using this trap to try and catch a stray dog. She finally got in the trap but not all the way. She tripped the plate and the door slammed on her rear end and she managed to get out but only because her butt held the door open. We've tested this trap many times before on other critters and it works like a charm!! heavey duty wire and the trip plate works every time. I just happen to be after a very very street smart stray. My only other option is to tranquilize her. I highly recommend this trap because it's well made and even a smaller animal can trip the plate. I give it 5 stars even though it didn't work on this particular dog.

It Works!

The first week I trapped (for release at a huge wooded lake area) 4 raccoons and 2 opossum. Working on trapping a problem fox but the raccoons get to the bait first. I have a trail camera focused on this trap and there have been no misses. Every animal that enters has been caught!
