We live off of a lake and in a heavily infested fire ant area. Since we have bought our new home we have had only two applications of Top Choice Fire Ant Granules over more than a three year period. Unlike many of our neighbors we have never found a mound and have had very few fire ant issues. All of those issues will relatively minor and were all near our property lines. Although rather pricey, considering the fact we have only had this stuff applied twice over three year period, I think this stuff is well worth the extra cost. Figuring it would cost us about $80 to $100 (about 5 bags or 25k sq ft. worth) for something from Home Depot and this would need to be applied at least twice a year. I would be remiss not to mention that I’m looking forward to finally being able to save some money by doing it my self.

We bought 2.5 acres of property two years ago and the exterminator stated there were well over 200 fire ant hills at that time on the property. After using Top Choice Fire Ant Granules, no more ant problems! I highly recommend this product and am glad I can save money now and buy it myself. My children can safely play in the yard without the worry of fire ants. Please figure out how much money annually you spend on baits, dust, granular hill treatments, etc., and I imagine Top Choice will be well worth the cost and it will last a year!
