Transport Mikron is the newest non-repellent product from FMC solutions and combines two of the most powerful insecticides on the market: Bifenthrin and Acetamiprid. Transport Mikron provides a quick knock down of over 30 pests, while at the same time providing a long term residual you can count on. These two active ingredients give you a one, two punch that even pyrethroid resistant insects cannot live through. Transport Mikron uses an exclusive microemulsion process which results in a particle size much smaller than other emulsifiables and micro-encapsulated solutions. This microemulsion formulation gives you clear, stable solution that will not stain or leave any residue. It also remains suspended well after mixing and does not need agitation if you are not using it for a long period of time.

I work for a pest-control company in the southeast U.S., and we have recently switched to this product. Many products that are labeled for: spiders, scorpions, and other miscellaneous arthropods (millipedes, centipedes, etc.), other than insects, have a very hard time controlling them. That is not at all the case with this product. I'm constantly amazed when I go to some of our accounts and encounter the misc. arthropods that are dead and dying. The customers love it because there's no noticeable residue, and an extremely low odor (if any when mixed at lower levels). Expensive, but extremely effective.

The clear winner
By Alice on March 4, 2012
I had a friend of mine across the country swear by this stuff so she bought it for me from here to try and I was skeptical at first because there's no magic bullet yet for those darned pyrethroid resistant insects from hell (Orthene PCO is probably the closest currently) but well... Hell, this stuff is the most advanced and effective insecticide on the market. It absolutely DECIMATES any ant, bed bug, or termite population (along with pretty much any other insect) with its dual class pesticide action plus this stuff really is CLEAR. I can actually see the bottom of my B&G sprayer with a full tank of this but most importantly, ZERO callbacks with it. Never had a product do that before, at least not for long. Gotta buy a case or two of this stuff after I run out.

Buckeye Bug Services - approved!
June 23, 2013
I own a small pest control company in Ohio. Ohio is know to have the most sever bed bug issues in the country. Transport Mikron has allowed me to lower my treatment prices, avoid costly follow-up treatments and speed up the time I would need to spend at a stop. I specialize in Bed Bug treatments and I recommend this product.

Used it three times (every other week) for bed bugs
August 26, 2013
Used this per instructions every other week. The other weeks in-between I used Temprid. Sprays clear and has a sweet smell. Unfortunately, I have not seen a decrease in bites. Will not purchase again. Most likely bed bugs are immune to these pesticides. Will be purchasing a dry air steamer and a packtite.
Worth the Cost!
By Dan on June 24, 2014
We had an issue with Springtails and a few various spiders I never could identify. I sprayed two weeks ago and have not seen a single Springtail or spider. So far I have only need to treat the outside of our home and have been beyond happy with the results! For the cost of a few treatments from a pest control company I will be able to treat my house for years.

For Bed Bugs
By Carolyn on June 2, 2014
I used this in a 2 bedroom Trailer that was infested with bed bugs and it worked for me. I took off all the light and plug covers to do it and I set out traps and haven't seen any yet. Will continue to use it if I need to.Was very pleased with it.
Did it's job
By Mark on January 14, 2014
I was sweating as I pin streamed this product along all the beams and fascia of some brand new, dark stained, wood eaves. I came across 4 small wasp hives and spot treated to limit the product from spreading all over. I bought this product for the very thing I was sweating over. The dreaded residual streak. When it was wet I could see clearly where the product was. I was nervous. I left 1 of the hives, with the customers knowledge, so that I would have to come back to retrieve. A couple days later I returned and was elated to find no sign of a barrier! I carry 8 different active ingredients at any given time and I don't think any of the other products would have done such a clean job. So this is now my go to for those dark eaves, window/door trim. A few cons. It's really syrupy and pouring it was a little trick for the first few mixes. Also, as far as control goes it did have nice knockdown power but the residual wasn't too hot. Most of my houses are in good shape anyways, but it seemed like the following month after I used this a bit more activity was noticeable than usual. Overall, it's now a staple in my toolbox.
Very encouraged with this pesticide

I have a teeny apt I rent. It became infested by an idiot tenant that knew he was infested when he moved there. I've had bed bugs before at other units, but not like this one. They were in the elec outlets & behind trim. I've been spraying with another spray that has worked in the past ....this time it wasn't getting them. After 4 mo. I was giving up, but tried this & it worked

Bed bug killer for sure.
By Lisa on July 1, 2013
Tried Suspend on bed bugs, and yes it killed some but mostly the younger ones, and the infestation continued. Sprayed Transport Mikron once, and like a previous reviewer said, the bed bugs were decimated. Transport Mikron is expensive but cheaper than Temprid by a considerable amount. I can now sleep in peace at night...finally!!!

Just what I needed
By Dean on November 1, 2012
I've been looking for a product to control black / brown widows around the barn and a product to control are ant and other insect problems around the home. I have not been able to get my product of choice (Dursban) so I've been using products from Lowes and Home Depot. The comparison? What comparison. Transport Mikron Insecticide is by far the superior product. It has eliminated the spider problem and the ants and other insects around the home. The residual is outstanding. It's going on a month and a half now with a rainfall in between and Transport Mikron is still doing the job of holding the insects at bay.

Doesn't work for Roaches.
By Dale on October 27, 2012
I tried this at the recommendation of a Pest control store. I mixed and used as per the manufacturers instructions. I have used it for several weeks. It has little effect on German Roaches. I live in Florida, roaches are everywhere. In conclusion, Transport does not work for me. I do not recommend it for Roaches.

December 17, 2011Richard from Georgia asked:
QHow is Transport Mikron a non-repellent product?
What is this "transfer" effect that is mentioned for acetamiprid? Trophallaxis? Also, I've heard that this product can be considered a non-repellant...but bifenthrin is a pyrethroid repellent. Does the particular formulation keep the bifenthrin from being a repellent?
AWhen we called FMC and asked about your question, they told us that Transport Mikron is a non-repellent and that since the two compounds are combined in a lab, the bifenthrin is not in a repellent form. They do not make this product by combining Talstar with Acetamiprid like what you might think. They combine acetamiprid with bifenthrin in a molecular combination in a lab, and are able to form a non-repellent product. It would be similar to water. There is always hydrogen and oxygen around us, but when you combine them they make something completely different...water.
May 11, 2013Dave from Cincinnati ,ohio asked:
QWhich is better, Transport Mikron or Transport ghp for bed bugs?
AAccording to the manufacturer, they recommend Transport Mikron for bed bugs over the Transport GHP. It has a better transfer and will do a better job at controlling the pest.
July 25, 2013Sandra from Alto,ga asked:
QIs this safe for animals to be around?
ATranspot Mikron can be safely used in a home with pets as long as the pets have been removed from the area during the treatment. They can safely return after the treated area has dried
October 10, 2012Bobbymak from Cresskill, Nj asked:
QTransport Mikron vs. Cynoff EC
What's the difference between these two products? There seems to be a lot of overlap in their targets.
ABoth products contain an active ingredient that is from the synthetic pyrethroid class of insecticides. Transport Mikron has a second active ingredient Acetamiprid which can offer a knockdown to pests that may be resistant to synthetic pyrethroids.
July 27, 2012Dan from Payson, Utah asked:
QWill Transport Mikron work for Carpet Beetles?
ATransport Mikron is labeled for carpet beetles and will help eliminate them. It is very important that the source of the infestation (where the damaging larva is harboring) is discovered and eliminated, not just the visible adult insects you see wandering around. Until you find out what that is and deal with it you will continue to get more of the carpet beetles emerging from hiding. Carpet beetles may be as likely to feed on grain based food materials as they are on animal byproducts. Pet foods stored in forgotten places, baking goods left too long in the cupboard, rodent baits tossed in the attic - all of these are quite susceptible to carpet beetle feeding. Plus, you also have the typical carpet beetle diets of dead insects (wasp nests in the attic, dead insects in window sills), feathers (bird nests, dead birds), hair (dead rodents, wool products, trophy mounts), and other things made from animal byproducts. Once the source of the infestation is removed or cleaned, using Transport Mikron will help get rid of the annoying adult beetles. You can spray once a month until all of the beetles are gone.
June 26, 2013Mike from Pa asked:
QHow to mix and spray transport mikron ?
I am looking for how to mix and spray transport mikron video .
AFor most applications you will mix 1.25 fl oz of Transport Mikron Insecticide per gallon of water. There is not a video of Transport Mikron, yet. You may view our "general spray application" video. This application technique would be the same with Transport Mikron. Please follow the product label for application instructions.
May 24, 2013Steve from Huntsville, Al asked:
QThe .11% dilution is specific for outdoor use. Is this the same percentage for indoor use?
AYes the rate stays about the same whether using it indoors or outdoors. If there were any change in the percentage you would need to refer to the product label for the exact pest and area in which you are treating.
August 10, 2013Cesar from Cicero,il asked:
QCan I use Transport Mikron and Exciter together?
AYes, you want to mix 1/2 an ounce of Exciter in with your one gallon of mixed transport Mikron solution.
August 25, 2013Lynne from Cokato, Mn asked:
QAfter treatment of Transport Mikron, how long is it effective?
My home was treated with Transport Mikron by a professional. The warranty was for 90 days. Coverage was the entire floors and legs of beds and dressers, chairs, etc. Box springs and mattresses were sprayed also. It's been 48 days since the spraying and I've had three bad nights. The first 2 days after and then 2 weeks after that. Each time less bites with the explanation that they die after biting because of contact. The last one however was one month later. So now I wonder how long the spray is effective? They now want me to find a live bug in order to come out and spray a 2nd time.
A We cannot comment on the treatment performed by a professional exterminator. Transport Mikron will last up to 90 days indoors. If you are treating for bedbugs, Transport Mikron should not be the sole product applied for treatment. QHow do I resolve discrepencies between the original label and the supplemental label on Transport Mikron?
April 10, 2013Julian from Las Vegas,nevada asked:
QWill Transport Mikron eliminate bird mites?
not listed for bird mites but can it elimonate them since it has bifluthrin
AIf it is not on the label, then legally we cannot recommend it for that purpose. As far as if it would work, we are not the manufacturer so we would recommend calling them directly to ask any hypothetical questions.
July 9, 2013Tina from Blaine, Wa asked:
QIs Transport safe to use with Gentrol?
Is this product safe to use with Gentrol in the same mix or will it weaken the power of the Transport?
AThe Gentrol is designed to be mixed with Transport, as well as all other insecticides without taking away from the effectiveness. You can always spray them separate if needed but mixing the two together will create a one step combo that will do wonders on an insect population.
August 29, 2013Bobby from Winston Salem,nc asked:
QIs Transport Mikron Insecticide an area spray or crack and crevices?
I am trying to eliminate a bedbug infestation
ATransport Mikron Insecticide is not labeled as a space spray. It is a crack and crevice spray. You can use Transport Mikron Insecticide along the baseboards, cracks and crevices and then use a product like Bedlam to apply to seams/fold of upolstered furniture, bed frames, mattress seams, night stands, etc. We alo recommend applying a dust in wall voids such as Cimexa dust. Pleae review our article How To Get Rid of Bed Bugs.
May 17, 2013Isaac from Centennial, Co asked:
QIs this product good on cockroaches or would you recommend gentrol
AYou would actually need both products. Transport and Gentrol are two very different concentrates in how they work. Transport Mikron is a liquid insecticide that you would dilute with water and spray for residual control over the roaches and other insects. The Gentrol IGR has no killing properties in its ingredients as it is purely a birth control for the insects. Using an IGR like Gentrol is pertinent in making sure you halt the infestation. You can mix the Gentrol and Transport together in the same gallon of water and spray them at the same time. To see tips on how to best control a roach problem, see our article on How To Get Rid Of Roaches.
