5 of 5 Stars  Very satisfied!
By Tammy on May 19, 2008

I recently ran out of your Trapper LTD glue traps and used the ones the exterminator gave me instead. The traps the exterminator gave me caught a mouse twice but it got away, I could tell because it left mouse hairs on the trap. With your traps all a mouse has to do is put it's foot on it and it is caught. I have never seen a mouse escape your traps. Just be careful because the glue is so so so sticky that it is hard to get off of your skin, clothes and shoes. It's best if you fold the traps if you are going to use them in high traffic areas because this stuff is sticky. Very satisfied!

5 of 5 Stars  Recommended product
By Shirley on December 5, 2008

We are in a new subdivision (2-1/2 yrs old) and they are still building. We placed Trapper LTD glue boards in our garage on both sides of the garage door . We caught over 30 mice and have stopped counting them. We have also caught one snake, crickets, and spiders. These boards are difficult to find in white. Home centers have them in black and are hard to see what has been caught. We recommend these to anyone with critter problems. They work great!!

5 of 5 Stars  Works better than you can imagine!
By Fran on October 23, 2007

We have used Trapper LTD insect glue boards for just over 1 year on a regular basis in our garage. These glue traps (they remind me of the old fashion fly paper) work better than you can imagine. We are in a new home, where new houses are still being built. To date we have caught 4 mice, 2 snakes and many, many crickets, spiders, roaches, just a huge mixture of bugs as they attempt to crawl into our garage. Rarely have we seen anything in the garage further than the entry way near the big doors. We use three boards at a time and have a 3 car garage.

By Christine on July 22, 2008

I have used Trapper LTD glue boards for the last year and they work great, highly recommend. We live in the desert so we have many unusual critters and the glue board gets them all, including scorpions. Thank you for a non-toxic product!

5 of 5 Stars  More effective than other glue boards
By Rene on September 25, 2007

I am a return customer, having used the  Trapper LTD glue boards a number of times. I have found that they're more effective than other glue boards I have used because these have a low profile that mice actually walk over. Other glue traps have a lip around the glue portion of the board that I believe causes the mice to walk around, rather than through it. They're worth the money, and getting them through the mail is easy.

This product uses a sticky surface to capture insects with no harmful chemicals or sprays. I used to buy a similar product at Lowes, but they no longer carry it. I was happy to find the same product at a much lesser cost.

This was my 2nd order in 2 years. This is great for catching those little critters, be they mice, or small lizards. I used them indoors and outdoors (on a patio) with great success. ps. The price was right, shipping was included, and delivery was prompt. Customer support was fast to answer my (dumb) questions, and very polite. So what's not to like?

These boards are great. They are much better than the ones the pest company left with us. Nothing gets away. A scorpion was trapped by just one leg. One touch and they're stuck.

  • 2 of 5 Stars  Not sticky enough....(but might get a few)
By Vivian on February 14, 2013
    Verified Purchase

Caught a couple of mice using this inside a live trap. However, a few more mice got stuck...and an hour or so later would get unstuck and be up running around. Had one mouse in trap for nearly 12 hours by himself...and he was able to eat several popcorn kernels on both side of live trap (just outside the edges of the glue board). So he had to run from one end of the board to the other to get the kernels on both sides....and he never got permentaly stuck. He got stuck once..then he peeded and that seemed to be enough to unstick himself. By the time he eat the last popcorn kernel...he'd peed all over the glue board and was running around it no problem. My first catch was 3 stick on board...but the 4th didn't stick, I think because the other 3 had pissed all over the board. My last catch was a single mice on a fresh glue board...and he almost got stuck once...but he was able to free himself by pissing. Oh...and I used sticky boards several years back...and had lots more luck with them. It might be weather related. The one I had good luck with where being used in Utah (during winter - think snow temperture). Theses are being used in Florida and although it's winter here...we have had some summer like weather in the 80's. And while some mice appear to be stuck first thing in the morning...they sometimes unstick themselfs...usually in the heat of the afternoon time frames. (I'm guess that the heat might be the reason they are unsticking themselve & getting free)...but I'm also thinking they get unstuck after pissing and popping on the board as well. It may be a combination...but this board is not sticky enough for me.

  • 5 of 5 Stars  problem solved!
By Ron on February 10, 2013

Waited too long to do this, but finally got the glue boards. They are larger than expected and easy to use. The first night I got one little vermin. The second morning I awoke to find TWO of the little vermin stuck on one trap! Thats the beauty of the larger traps. I think once one gets trapped, another trys to rescue it and gets stuck itself. YAY! I put a piece of nut in the middle of each tray. That seems to help. A friend told me...no food,(crumbs after I eat) keep the house clean, try to not leave a place for them to build a home. (cleaning rags under the sink, stuff in the basement. Discovered that my toaster oven was attracting them due to the grease that managed to get under it and I never noticed. It's clean now. I will buy this product again if needed. Great price and value!

I was buying these to replace some old ones I had that I purchased here too. These worked just as good as the others buuuut one thing you can't do with these is fold them into a box shape like the ones I had before. I still folded these and just used tape but I liked the other ones better since they were made to fold and clip together. But other than that these work just fine if you lay them flat. I used them for insects and have them at corners of doorways in garage and by garage door, by back door and in kitchen.

QAre the Trapper LTD glue boards scented?
I've read that some glue boards are peanut butter scented. Can you tell me if these particular boards are scented?

AThe Trapper LTD Glueboards are not scented. If you are looking for glueboards that are peanutbutter scented you can checkout the Catchmaster 72MB Glueboards or the Trapper Max glueboards.

QHow do I catch mice running down pipes in my house?
Hi, I saw a mouse the other morning as it ran down the 2 inch pipe that drains the utility sink in the garage, that is one of the 'mouse highways', I'm wondering if these glue boards will conform to the shape of the pipe and stay put?! Will I have to use double sided tape? I'm already using your bait stations to great success but this is a banner year for mice in the Colorado Springs area because we have had such a long and cold Winter like most of the world. I've been watching my two young Dachsunds (they've caught five) and also the birds of prey as their actions tell me of more mouse activity than anything else.

A

You can wrap the Trapper LTD mouse glue boards around the pipe, but you most likely will need some type of adhesive to keep the glue board in place. Another great choice for mouse control is the Mini T-Rex snap trap. These traps can be placed in/on mouse runways or tied to pipes or beams that mice  may use as highways. A removable bait cup in the center of the trigger pedal makes it easy to add baits including new Provoke Mouse Attractant. You can watch our instructional video explaining how to use the traps on surfaces such as pipes or beams.

AThe Trapper LTD Mouse/Insect Glue Boards can last indefinitely as long as they are kept out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

November 18, 2012Julia from Meadview, Az asked:

QWe have been invaded by "rice weevils", mostly in the bathroom and some in cupboards and in flour, corn, rice
it is approx. 1/16x1/8 in., black/brown has 6 legs & feelers, don't think it has a snout. There are many and we have sprayed with no avail, driving me crazy.

APantry pests can usually be controlled by a thorough cleaning out of all infested product and scrubbing of the infested areas (pay special attention to cracks and crevices) and then applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol to the cracks and crevices and also an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to the cabinets. The growth regulator will help stop the breeding process while you are trying to get rid of the pest and can make all the difference in your treatment program. Still, without finding the source and getting rid of it your treatment program will not be successful. It can take a couple of months to control a pantry pest infestation.

August 12, 2010Paul asked:

QHow do you rid of mice in a restaurant kitchen?

AIf an infesation already exists in a commercial kitchen, the use of glue boards and or snap traps will be necessary. Place the traps near areas where dropping have been found or near areas where rodents or rodent damage has been found. The use of rodenticides (rat poison or mouse poison) is usually inappropriate in indoor areas. A rodent could succumb to the effects of the bait and die in an area that is inaccessible causing a horrible stench, flies, maggots, roaches, and beetles. After you get rid of the rodents indoors, you will need to stop new rodents from taking their place. Rats and mice are notorious for finding their way indoors. They can find even the tiniest crack in a structure and force there way in. Here are some hints and tips to help prevent an infestation:

  • Try to locate as many entry points as possible and seal them with Stuf Fit Copper Mesh or other suitable material

  • Keep dumpster areas as clean as possible and keep lids closed when not in use.

  • Keep grassy areas mowed to eliminate possible hiding spots.

  • Place rodent bait stations near dumpster areas and along outdoor structure walls to kill rodents outdoors.

October 6, 2010Wm asked:

QWhat can I use to get rid of geckos?
I need something that can be sprayed in the house as they seem to get inside a lot.

A

There are no toxic products labeled for geckos, lizards or any reptiles or amphibians, and given the highly beneficial nature of these creatures there is not likely to be any products for them any time soon. The reason they are on your property are because they can find food and proper habitat. Take away their food and they will forage somewhere else. Take away the conditions they need for hiding and they will seek refuge someplace else.

You really have two options here:

1.Exclusion. Total exclusion can be hard to achieve particularly around the roof-line where there are going to be gaps that would be very hard to close off, but there also could be some obvious flaws such as broken vent screens, holes around cables, pipes or wires, or gaps under doors. All of these can easily be closed with brush strips, caulking, copper mesh (Stuf-Fit), or some other suitable material. Exclusion is the best choice, because it is permanent, and eliminates or reduces the problem in the future too.

2.Outdoor habitat modification. In short, get rid of the reasons geckos are there in the first place. They are there because they are finding the food they need to survive (insects) and a place to harbor. If you can eliminate either of these essentials, you can get rid of the geckos. Spray a good residual insecticide such as Cyper WP around the outside of your home to help cut down on the number of insects the geckos are eating. If geckos cannot find enough food they will either move on or starve. Eliminate as much clutter and debris around the outside of your home as possible to eliminate the places geckos like to hide. Rake back mulch or rocks at least 6 inches from the structure.

If you need to get rid of the geckos that are already indoors the only options are catching them by hand or using glue boards placed in areas where the geckos travel.

QCan the Trapper LTD glue boards be used for bed bugs?

AThe Trapper LTD Glueboards can be used for bedbugs, but they may not be as effective as the glueboards that have been specifically designed to catch bedbugs. The Catchmaster Bedbug Detection System (glueboards for bedbugs) is a patented device designed to detect bed bugs. BDS is a passive monitoring device that provides what would be considered a perfect harborage area for bed bugs - a place they prefer to hide and breed. Bedbugs favor tight, dark spaces and textured surfaces. This is why they tend to hide in cracks and crevices of wooden furniture or in the creases of mattresses. Bedbugs also like the small grooves in corrugated boxes.  The Catchmaster BDS trap recreates these favorable conditions using a unique patented adhesive pattern that is coated on a coarse cardboard surface that bed bugs love. The combination offers bedbugs an ideal place to hide.  Once bed bugs enter a BDS trap, they get stuck on the glue adhesive inside.

September 13, 2011Leonard from Chesapeake Va asked:

QA lizard came in the house during repair. How do I catch or kill him?

AThe only thing you can do to get rid of the lizard is put glueboard traps in areas where you suspect the lizard will visit. There are no poisons on the market for lizards since they are for the most part a beneficial creature.
