Treating black ants in my pantry.

I NOTICED BLACK ANTS INSIDE MY PANTRY CABINET AND I GOT SOME ANT GEL BAIT AND APPLIED IT IN THE CORNER OF THE SHELFS ....WILL THIS WORK OR WHAT CHEMICAL DO YOU RECCOMEND TO APPLY ...BY THE WAY THAT ANT GEL BAIT WAS SITTING IN MY GARAGE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS WILL THAT MATTER IT STILL LOOKED GOOD TO ME...WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THIS SITUATION I HAVE DELTA DUST BUT I DONT WANT TO USE IT INSIDE THE PANTRY CABINET.thank u

Answer:

Yes, we highly recommend using ant bait gel in the cabinet areas. Our Maxforce FC Ant gel is our most popular.  You should first throw away any open food that the ants are eating and take away all easily accessible food so there is not any competition.  The ants will eat the ant bait and take it back to their nest and feed it to the other ants and the queen. This method will eliminate the entire colony. AS far as shelf life, we recommend storing the gel bait in a moderated temp area and that it is used within 2 years of purchase.
