Tri-Die Silica & Pyrethrum Dust

Tri-Die Silica & Pyrethrum Dust is a dust that provides a quick contact kill combined with a long residual. Making use of a naturally derived botanical insecticide, Pyrethrin, Tri-Die Dust makes the treated area repellant to and unsuitable for insect pests. Labeled for both indoor and outdoor use.

INDOOR TREATMENTS

CRAWLING INSECTS:

To control Ants, Book-lice, Carpet Beetles, Crickets, Cockroaches, Scorpions, Silverfish, Firebrats and Spiders, apply a small amount of Tri-Die at the rate of 1 oz. per 50 sq. ft. of surface area, into voids, cracks and crevices or other places where the insects are traveling or harboring. Apply a continuous visible film underneath and behind stairs, refrigerators and appliances. Treat on, around and behind moldings, shelving, baseboards, pipe openings, cracks, crevices and other areas where insects hide. For severe infestations, apply Tri-Die behind cabinets and walls, in crawl spaces and attics at the rate of 1 lb per 1,000 sq ft of surface area.

OUTDOOR TREATMENTS

Ants, Centipedes, Clover Mites, Cockroaches, Crickets, Earwigs, Ground Beetles, Millpedes, Pillbugs, Scorpions, Sowbugs and Spiders:

Treat cracks around doors, windows, under siding and voids at foundation level, beneath guards on loading docks, into cracks in foundations and floors and in other places where these pests may enter building.

SEWER TREATMENTS:

Cockroach or other insect infestations in sanitary sewers may be treated with approximately 6 oz of Tri-Die per manhole. When treating sewers, one manhole per 200 ft. of line should be treated. Apply to sides of manhole and other surfaces with hand or power duster. Treatments may also be made by removing the manhole cover and replacing with a disc of plywood bored to receive the usual flexible hose from portable or truck-mounted ventilating equipment, 6 oz. of Tri-Die is introduced into the ventilating air to be dispersed quickly and thoroughly through the system.

I use Tri-Die in a bee and wasp extermination business. It is the same as Drione but costs less per pound.

4 of 5 stars  A decent powder for many insects.
By Michael in Mansfield, OH on 09/10/2015

A good powder to use for general pest control. It has a triple action for killing pests. I have received some older dust that doesn't seem to work as well as the newer dust does. The older dust seems to stick together where the newer dust stays more fluffed up. All and all it's a good dust to use.

  • 2 of 5 stars  Not long lasting results
By Joe in lorain ohio on 11/29/2016

First I had a small problem with clumping and when dusting it came out unevenly. After dusting bed and frame and couches, there was a lull for a day or two but the bedbugs came back in full force. After reading others good experience I was surprised that after using this and a spray product touted as for bedbugs, that neither seemed to show lasting results.

Thank you for your comments! We do recommend using sprays in conjunction with dusts for bed bugs since dust can take several days to kill bugs. QCan Tri-Die Silica & Pyrethrum Dust be applied to the lawn?
Can this dust be applied to the entire lawn? If so, how should it be applied? I didn't know if it would just be sprinkled over the grass or if there is another way to do it. We are infested with flies that seem to be of different types and some of them live in clusters in the lawn. They just come up when you walk in certain areas.

A

Tri-Die Silica & Pyrethrum Dust†is for use indoors only and is not meant for outside across the lawn. †When used outside you†would treat cracks around doors, windows, under siding and voids at foundation level, beneath guards on loading docks, into cracks in foundations and floors and in other places where these pests may enter building per the product label.

Talstar P can be sprayed in many areas of the lawn where flies are present to try and control the population better than a dust.
