Customer Reviews for Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye

Turf Mark Blue works very well when spraying at a high rates or when spraying over dormant or dry turf. It also works well seeing areas while spot spraying. However, I was unable to easily see my path on dark green grass with 1oz of blue per gallon spraying at a rate of 1 gal per 1500 sqft (31gal per acre rate). I was applying a post emergent over the entire yard using a 4 gal backpack sprayer.

This product okay, but when mixed as directed and sprayed with backpack sprayer, it is not very visible. Walking at a normal pace with waving, back and forth motion low to ground, you can hardly see it.

I decided on Tenacity after tons of research and YouTube videos. For the price, this product should perform. I purchased and mixed Tenacity, surfactant and the blue dye with surgical precision and proper measuring. It took 8 days to notice slight whitening of some of my weeds and some grass. After 18 days I came to the realization that my common chickweed and white clover was basically immune to this stuff. I am in PA, and the temps took a dive here over the application period (30's at night; 50's during the day) so perhaps that reduced the effectiveness. My solution: at the 21-day mark I followed up with Ortho WeedClear (I REALLY wanted to avoid the box store stuff) and it seems to be working. Bottom Line: This solution is too expensive and too tedious not to have outstanding results. Results were not impressive.

I bought tis marker to use in my spray rig. Through the spreader bar I couldn't seee the dye at all even when mixed much stronger than recommended. it was effective when I sprayed it through my hand held wand.

This is nasty stuff. The container directions on how to use are not good. I had dye all over the place. Was unable to get liquid into the measuring container. Ended up using measuring cup container. The product did work well however when I got 4-oz. measured out. Had to use bleach solution to clean up.

Used this product in my 25 gallon tank I mount on my suede by side.. it doesn't work very well at marking your yard through the boom sprayer which is what I wanted it for. It does work great shooting it through the gun. I don't think yard sprayers put out enough liquid for it to color the yard. Not the products fault in any way.

When I run out of this, will just use food coloring. The only time it is noticeable is when yo get the very last bit of liquid in the sprayer. Actually a waste of money

The dye was too close to the color of my grass. I was killing off bent grass and nimbelwell. I kept having to make my mixture darker which took a lot of product. Possibly make the dye a different color, yellow??
