Product Label MSDS
Ultracide is a very effective flea control aerosol that provides immediate kill of adult fleas and prevents formation of new adults from eggs or larvae. Ultracide dries quickly and will eliminate flea problems for up to seven months. Contains the insect growth regulator (IGR) Nylar
Ultracide differs from Precor 2000 in that Ultracide has an initial faster kill. Precor 2000 is more well-known by name. Ultracide Spray contains Permethrin and Phenothrin to kill adult fleas fast. It also contains Methoprene (an insect growth regulator) to prevent reinfestation for up to seven months. Methoprene penetrates deep into the base of carpet and upholstery fibers, where pre-adult fleas live and targets fleas in the egg and larval stages of development, preventing them from producing new infestations of breeding, biting adults. How do I use Ultracide Spray to treat for fleas? - Identify treatment areas: especially those where pets frequent, such as in and around pet's sleeping and resting areas. These are the primary areas where fleas, their eggs, and ticks are found. (Before treatment, a test application should be made to upholstery, drapery, light-colored, delicate fabrics, or wood surfaces in an inconspicuous place.)
- Prepare treatment areas: For best results with Surface/Carpet treatments, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and discard vacuum bag in outside trash. (This product may also be used for infested surfaces inside motor vehicles.)
- Apply treatment. For flea/tick infestations, a single can treats 2000 square feet. Hold container upside down 2-3 feet from surface, point actuator towards the surface and push button. Using a sweeping motion, apply a light uniform spray to all surfaces of furniture, rugs, carpets, drapes, and around all pet resting areas. Avoid thoroughly wetting surfaces. Mist treated areas only until "slightly damp". Do not over-treat. Reapply in 14 days, if necessary. IMPORTANT: Only complete and proper application to carpets, upholstery, drapes, and other fabrics will provide thorough flea/tick elimination. Keep children and pets out of areas during treatment. Vacate room after treatment, and ventilate until surfaces are dry before reoccupying.
- For best results, eliminate fleas on pets with an approved flea product like Petcor Flea Spray or a product recommended by your veterinarian.

Reviewer: Mary from SC I live in the south where the fleas are quite a bother and as we have 5 dogs that stay indoors it has been a job fighting the fleas. We purchased the Ultracide from our local vet and what a blessing it has been. We only used 1/2 a can for our 1400 sq foot house and after just 24 hours our dogs are resting much more comfortable. I have not seen a flea since then and as a added bonus I found that the Ultracide also kills the huge palmetto bugs that plague us here. it is well worth the cost and I have found that I am now saving more money by using the Ultracide as I do not need to purchase the topicals such as Frontline or Advantage. Thank You

Reviewer: Ann from Moorestown, NJ I purchased 4 cans of Ultracide. Used 3/4 of a can in my basement. 24 hours later the fleas were not dead. Used full can. 24 hours later the fleas are not dead. I have wasted so much money trying to kill fleas, I am sick. I don\'t know where or what this works on but it doesn\'t work in basements or on fleas.
Store comments: you will still see fleas for awhile. However, by using this product, you are breaking their cycle. The adults are dying but new ones are continually hatching. As the IGR works, you will notice that the new ones aren\'t able to bite. You need to be patient because they also will eventually die as they contact the insecticide. Daily vacuuming is also very important in order to stimulate the fleas. Lots of patience is needed. It could take several weeks or a month or so until you no longer see fleas.
