It isnt 100% perfect, but after two weeks i have hardly any weeds in my garden. Usually this is the time i had to re-apply Roundup. This is the only garden approved pre-emergent (that works) that i could find. The only thing to be aware of is that this product is FLOURESCENT YELLOW. Use a dedicated sprayer and wear old clothes/shoes that you dont mind staining. As per label, you have to water it in. Once watered in, it isnt a problem. Until then, if you walk through this and walk on your patio or inside your home you will leave stains.

QCan pre-emergent vegetable and ornamental weeder be used on vegetable gardens right before planting?
Will it prevent vegetable seeds from sprouting?
AVegetable & Ornamental Weeder will hurt the seeds, because of its premergent properties. You want to wait until the plants are actively growing and then apply the product. Let us know if you have any other questions.

QCan this product be applied directly over shrubs in existing flower beds?
I would like to treat my well established flower beds with this product. The directions only discuss treating soil prior to planting and not established beds. To treat the entire area, is the product sprayed directly on existing plants and surrounding areas?
AYes, Vegetable and Ornamental Weeder can be used on vegetable gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, roses, rock gardens and groundcovers. It is a pre-emergent so this will not kill the weeds that are already there. This is normally used during the fall when it is cooler outdoors to prevent the emergence of weeds in the spring.

QCan Monterey Vegetable and Ornamental Weeder be used near Peony?
Should a vegetable garden be tilled first or not?
A Yes, Monterey Vegetable and Ornamental Weeder should be safe to use around Peony as long as the plants are healthy and†well-established. If you are going to till or otherwise disturb the soil, you will get better coverage and control if you do this process before applying the pre-emergent herbicide. Otherwise, you may†disturb the†application and cause inconsistent control.
