The classic Victor mouse trap with the metal pedal. All Victor mouse traps and rat traps are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) sourced wood from environmentally managed forests. Trap measures 4"L x 1 3/4"W.
| Manufactured by: | Victor |
DESCRIPTION:Victor mouse traps work very well and kill mice instantly. Snap traps work best when baited with sticky bait (i.e. peanut butter) to ensure that the mouse will disturb the trigger mechanism even if the mouse touches the bait only lightly. 12 traps.
HOW TO SET THE TRAP:
1. Remove small staple holding locking bar to wood base.
2. Place bait inside curl found at end of bait pedal. Remove excess bait protruding from pedal.
3. Pull back bow and hold down with thumb.
4. With other hand, engage curved portion of the locking bar under small, V-shaped lip on bait pedal.
5. Place trap against wall with bait pedal facing the wall.
6. If trap draws ants, try using a small ball of cotton or strands of dental floss tied through hole in bait pedal curl.
How to Use VICTOR Mouse Traps Effectively:
Most trapping efforts fail because too few mouse traps or rat traps are used. You'll probably need more traps then you think. Set enough traps to kill most of the population before the rodents begin to shy away from the traps. We recommend placing the traps every 2-3 feet along a wall, with the trap placed perpindicular to the wall. Rodents enter a home through holes the size of a dime and run along walls, not over open spaces.
1. Place victor mouse traps perpendicular to the wall.
2. Place victor mouse traps out unset, without bait, for a few days (even 1-2 weeks) so rodents can become familiar with them.
3. Place traps where rodent activity is seen (sign of chewing, droppings, runway, burrow).
4. Leave victor mouse traps undisturbed for at least two days before moving to a new location.
5. Check traps daily and replace as needed.
6. Wear gloves when disposing of rodent.
Baits: These baits are favorites for mice and rats:
Mouse Bait: Peanut Butter, Cheese, Oats, Nesting Materials, Chocolate, Water (for live catch)
Rat Bait: Peanut Butter, Bacon, Fruits, Vegetables, Cereals, Meats, Acorns (Wood Rat)

11 of 11 people found this review helpful: By M.b. on October 23, 2008 Thees Victor Mouse Traps are the ONLY way to go, as all the competitor's traps are not worth the trouble to buy and carry home. We have had TomKat traps (ain't worth a darn) and some of the others on the market, and we keep going back to the "old standard", VICTOR, as it is the only trap that catches mice! Hard to find locally, so we are ordering via the internet. Was this review helpful to you? |

7 of 8 people found this review helpful: By Jill on November 12, 2006 I live on a farm. My hobby is to go out every day and get the hay for my loving animals. See, I had no problem with this, until I saw at least 20 mice scurring around my hay stacks! They would burrow into them, and before you knew it, there isn't 20, but 50 in my hay! The horses and my other animals would eat them without knowing, and they would get terribly sick because of it! I then found the Victor Mouse Trap. That baby worked like a charm, and I now have no mouse problems, Thank you Victor Mouse Trap! Was this review helpful to you? |

By Eric on July 25, 2010 I've tried other types of snap traps, glues, bait boxes – nothing comes close to the simple Victor trap (I've tried the yellow Victor traps and didn't like them as much, they're too sensitive). With glues the mice usually end up alive, peeping in pain, it's awful. With baits the mouse ends up dieing somewhere and smelling up the place. These snap traps are a quick kill with a very high mortality rate. I've had a few super speedy mice escape the trap, but this is very rare. Put a little peanut butter on it, mice can't resist it.Was this review helpful to you? |

By Ron on July 28, 2010 This is the tried and true mouse trap of years gone by. Works all the time. Do My Own Pest Control has kept the price very reasonable. I'm very satisfied with the product and the vendor. Was this review helpful to you? |
