Stop moles from wreaking havoc on your lawn. Now you can eliminate them without costly and dangerous chemicals or poisons by using the Victor Out O' Sight Mole Trap, the professionals choice. The Victor Mole trap is also cost effective as it can be used season after season. The Victor Out O' Sight Mole Trap features strong malleable iron jaws for superior strength and durability. This trap works with a scissor like action to trap stubborn moles. (MODEL - 0631)
When is the best time to trap moles?
Spring is the best time to trap moles because newly-made surface tunnels are easy to spot. Moles can be trapped during any season except in very cold or dry weather.
How many traps do I need?
A common mistake is not to use enough traps. If you have three active tunnels in the yard, use three traps. Traps are usually more cost effective than most mole chemicals, poisons or noisy contraptions.
Where do I put the trap?
First you must identify an "active" tunnel. To do this you can flatten an area a couple inches wide in each tunnel (this easily done by simply stepping on the tunnel with your heel). Tunnels that are "rebuilt" are active. ***Follow the manufacturers illustrated instructions for setting the trap properly and safely.***
The presence of moles will be indicated by mounds of soil created as they construct their tunnels.
To locate tunnels in frequent use, clear away a mound of soil and probe for the opening usually a short passage that leads down a few inches to the main tunnel. Place mole traps in this tunnel.
To Place the Mole Traps:
Dig a hole down to main tunnel. Make certain that hole is no larger than the mole trap and that it is aligned with straight section of the tunnel.
Build a mound in center of hole using loose soil.
Place mole traps in the hole, pushing down firmly until it rests on mound. Fill in tunnel entrances with soil. Release safety hook.
NOTE: Place a box or board over trap to avoid danger to children and non-target animals.

Great product
By Greg on April 5, 2010This is the trap that you want. It will get them easily. The instructions could be a little more clear as to how to properly bed the trap into the run.

Hard to set
By Numbercruncher on May 21, 2012I have four different types of traps, and this one is the hardest to set.The Talpirid is the same basic concept, but much easier (and less dangerous) to use.
proper setting of trap
By Jim on June 16, 2012I have had difficulty setting the trap. Mounding beneath the trip lever is critical-i'm still experimenting with the technique. I agree the instructions could be clearer. After 4 days of monitoring, I have caight 1 mole.
Out O Sight trap for moles
By Jude on September 23, 2012Like this concept, but, I don't have enough strength to set it. Have the same style in a very old trap that is smaller and more light weight but two legs are broken. Is there something out there that's smaller and lighter?
Mole trap
By Dayton on October 6, 2012I haven't put them to use yet, but my friend swears by them. As soon as the rains start, I'll be able to identify the fresh activity.

QDo you make a scissor mole trap that is easier to set?
my neighbor and i both use these traps, we have a mole hunting competition of sorts, but he is in his upper 70's and although he wont admit it, he is having trouble setting them, was wondering if you made wrenches with a little more leverage? if not maybe i can make a couple for him, thanks for your time
AWe do not actually manufacture the Victor Out-O-Sight Mole Traps and we are not aware of a different version of the trap. We recommend contacting Victor directly to see if they have a trap that might be easier for your friend to set 1-800-800-1819.
