    If Victor Out-O-Site Mole Traps become rusty does that diminish the effectiveness?
    If so, what is best way to clean rust off? Is soaking them in muiratic acid (sp?) a good option.

    We recommend cleaning Victor Out-O-Sight Mole Traps after each use and allowing them to dry before storing so they do not get rusty. Vinegar or baking soda paste can be used to clean rust off most metal objects.

    Does rust affect the efficiency of Victor Out-O-Sight Mole traps?

    As long as there is not rust on the moving parts of the Victor Out-O-Sight Mole Trap 0631 that could prevent it triggering, it would not be affected by rust.

    It is recommended to clean the Victor Out-O-Sight Mole Trap after each use, and allowing it to dry before storing to prevent rusting, but the manufacturer's product label does not include any mention of oiling the trap.
