In this case, we suggest that you also buy Tin Cat Glue Boards M309, which fit perfectly inside the Tin Cat. The mice will stick to the glue board and eventually die. The glue boards provide for easier disposal of the mice.

The Victor Tin Cat Solid Tops have a very low profile (only 1.75 inches tall) allowing them to be placed in tight areas or under pallets. Tin cats are perfect for the home or for larger areas such as farms, chicken houses, warehouses, etc.
Mice like to travel along walls and not across large open areas. Place the Tin Cat repeating mouse trap along a baseboard or in a corner. When the area to be controlled is large, the infestation is severe, or to increase the effectiveness of the traps, place several Tin Cats along the walls about 10-15 feet apart.
1. Place the Tin Cat trap lengthwise against wall or object with entrance holes nearest to that surface.
2. Use peanut butter or other typical mouse bait in the inside chamber to attract mice. (One customer put a dab at the top of the ramps and had great success!)
One very important thing to remember: it may take the mouse 1-2 weeks to become familiar enough with the tin cat, before it attempts to enter. At first the mouse may just go around the Tin Cat or run on top. However, once the mouse knows the trap isn’t going anywhere, it will be confident enough to go through the trap. Mice are very cautious about new things in their environment.

Simple, cost effective solution to pest control.
By Kurt on October 26, 2011We have over 250 Victor Tin Cats in use both on the interior and exterior of our distribution warehouse. These traps are part of our comprehensive pest control program and are checked twice weekly. We originally had the traps supplied by our pest control contractor but we found that buying them ourselves greatly reduced the monthly cost of replacement. The traps themselves are long-lasting and effective however because of the locations in high-traffic areas (dock doors, storage bays, etc.) we need to replace damaged traps frequently. We are very pleased with the ease of using these traps and would recommend them.

Chicken house mice
By Bobby on February 4, 2012I am retired and have about 27 hens and 1 rooster and I have a chicken house with 3 compartments. Every time I would go in one of those compartments I would see mice running every where. I couldn't use any type poison because the chickens would eat the dead mice and the poison would probably kill them too. My son had one your Victor Tin Cat Mouse Traps and I borrowed it. My first morning I had 17 mice in that trap. I got on my computer and ordered two more of these traps that way I could put one in each compartment. I would have 6 or less between the three traps each morning for about three weeks. Haven't seen sign or caught one in the last couple of weeks. I have to say these traps do a great job.

A Each mouse will walk up the ramp of the Victor Tin Cat Mouse Trap. When they get to the end of the ramp, the mouses weight will push down the ramp, after they step off it will rise back up effectively trapping the mouse and will be ready for the next mouse to enter. The Victor Tin Cat Mouse Trap can hold up to 30 mice at a time, can be used as a live trap without a glue board and a kill trap with a glueboard.

A The Victor Tin Cat-Solid Top is made of a thicker, hardier metal than the Catchmaster 612. These traps are made by two different manufacturers.

AA lot of people choose to put a little dot of Provoke Mouse Attractant on the very end of the ramp to help draw the mice in. Be sure to place the Tin Cat repeating mouse trap along a baseboard or in a corner where mice are known to travel. Mice are naturally inquisitive and will start to investigate the trap after a week or two.
