Julia from Meadview, Az writes

We have been invaded by "rice weevils", mostly in the bathroom and some in cupboards and in flour, corn, rice

it is approx. 1/16x1/8 in., black/brown has 6 legs & feelers, don't think it has a snout. There are many and we have sprayed with no avail, driving me crazy.

Answer:

Pantry pests can usually be controlled by a thorough cleaning out of all infested product and scrubbing of the infested areas (pay special attention to cracks and crevices) and then applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol to the cracks and crevices and also an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to the cabinets. The growth regulator will help stop the breeding process while you are trying to get rid of the pest and can make all the difference in your treatment program. Still, without finding the source and getting rid of it your treatment program will not be successful. It can take a couple of months to control a pantry pest infestation.
