We have fleas inside our home, do we have to spread Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth all over the carpets?

We have spread it all over the carpets and the dust is all over the place because we kick it up when walking through the house. Do we have to vacuum up the old before applying new? Our holistic doctor said to apply it once a week for 4 weeks. We are still getting bites how do we stop the fleas?

Answer:

You can apply Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth under carpet. We recommend to go ahead and vacuum the carpets. This help to bring the fleas up to the surface and in contact with the D.E. You want to stick with applications to, cracks and crevices; behind and beneath appliances, cabinets, and garbage areas; around sewer pipes, drains, foundations, and windows; in attics and basements; on patios; along baseboards; under carpeting; in and around pet bedding and sleeping quarters. You can use Alpine Flea Insecticide with IGR inside your home. please check out our video How to Get Rid of Fleas.
