Advion Fire Ant Bait is a very good product for fire ants. This product can either be broadcast across your lawn or use directly on the mounds. Up to four applications can be done per year. If there is rain or irrigation within 2-3 hours after the product has been applied, this may reduce the effectiveness of the product and a reapplication may need to be done within 7 days. The application rate is 1.5 lbs. per Acre, or .5 oz per 1,000 sq. ft. We would also recommend checking out our Fire Ant Guide. It has excellent tips on how to treat and prevent fire ants.
