Wendy from Rockwall, Texas writes

What insects eats sheetrock and trim from the inside out?

This insect is boring small holes (pen head size, maybe a bit bigger); I spackled and painted over last night and some of the holes were right back today! I need to kill whatever is in there asap but need to know what it is, and I don't want to replace the wall! Thanks!

Answer:

This type of damage can be indicative of termites or carpenter ants. We recommend you call a pest control professional to come out and give you a free/low cost inspection to help you identify exactly what you are dealing with. After you have the pest ID we would be happy to help you determine what products you will require to do the treatment your self.
