What is a good pre-emergent to use on multi weeds?

I purchased a house and the front lawn is over run with every type of weed I think God created... I can not afford to do sod so I was told to use a pre-emergent to stop the weed from germinating this winter. Can you suggest some...? Thank you!!

Answer:

A great pre-emergent for grassy and broadleaf weeds would be Dimension 2EW.  Be aware that it will not control anything that is already growing, you would need a post emergent for those depending on the type of grass you have.
