Cherie from Durango, Colorado writes

What is a mosquito killer or repellent we can use that won't hurt fish, pets, us?

They seem to like our lawn and would like to spray it.

Answer:

If you have a property with water and aquatic life you would want to use a product called Essentria IC3 for mosquito and other general pest control. It has no aquatic toxicities, is safe once dry for people and pets, and can be used in all the areas mosquitoes harbor like dense foliage of bushes/hedges/trees and ornamentals/groundcovers to help eliminate them. You will mix 1-2oz per gallon of water and spray once every 3-4 weeks throughtout the season to keep them away and kill the population.
