What is the best insecticide for both Bahia and St. Augustine? (For Roaches & Spiders & how long does it last?)

We live in Florida. There are a lot of consumer grade pesticides. We would like to stop paying a pest control company. So we'd like to know: What is the best insecticide for both Bahia and St. Augustine? ( To treat/get rid of Roaches & Spiders) How long does it last versus the every 3 month granular treatments from the Pest Control company?
