What is the best treatment for Powdery Mildew on Crepe Myrtles?

Last year our crepe myrtles developed powdery mildew and we had few blooms. We sprayed a Natural product from Lowes on it, removed all of the pine straw under them and resprayed this spring as they were beginning to leaf out. We resprayed again when they were fully leafed out. Now, the trunks are black, the leaves are curled and black and once again we have few blooms. What is the best product to buy?

Answer:

Eagle 20EW is labeled to treat for Powdery Mildew on Crepe Myrles using at 1.2fl oz per 1,000sq feet. To determine how much water you will need to cover 1,000 square feet, follow these procedures: * Measure and mark off a 10ft wide by 100ft long area. * Fill 1 gallon sprayer with plain water * Using consistant and even strokes, spray water to cover the marked off area. * Look and see how much water it took you to fully cover the area and that is how much water you add to the 1.2fl ounces of Eagle 20EW (1/2 gallon, 1 gallon, etc) Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
