Mark from Dallas writes

What is the recommended method for treating wood beneath drywall with BoraCare?

The answer to Jerry on 9/17/2010 was to drill at a downward angle into the studs every 6 inches and inject Bora-Care into the drilled holes. The answer to Adam from Kansas on 03/02/2013 was to drill holes at the top of the wall on each side of each stud and drill a second set of holes at the bottom of the wall on each side of each stud and then apply Bora-Care foam using the top holes until the foam comes out of the bottom holes. Has the recommendation changed over time?

Answer:

Both of the treatments mentioned in previous Q&A's for Boracare are correct as they are for 2 different application methods. If you are drilling directly into the stud you would follow the instructions of drilling every 6 inches and inject.  If you want to foam into a wall void instead then you would follow the drill at the top and bottom on each side of the stud instructions.
