Looking for year round weed solution/suggestions at 4500 ft elevation in Arizona please. There is no lawn to maintain, but weeds within the rock lawn are starting to show and will only show more with the monsoon weather starting late May/early June. We have a variety of weeds from dandelions to a delicate leaf weed with long roots and a white sap in the stems. I am unsure if it's best to use one product on the weeds showing thru or if a pre emergent is effective in this climate. I am also not interested in weed control with any residual color after the application dries. Thanks in advance for your help - love your website! Suzy
XL 2G Herbicide would be great to use and is a pre-emergent weed control product. XL 2G does not control emerged weeds, established weeds, weeds growing from stolens, rhizomes, or root pieces. For the emerged weeds, you could use any Glyphosate product, like the GlyPhoSel Pro to kill any and all weeds and grasses that might come up through the rocks. You can spray it as often as needed to get the control you need on the weeds you want to kill. Care should be taken to avoid spraying desirable plants as it will kill anything that it is applied to.
