What to use for tiny ants coming in through a second story apartment window in NY city?

My daughter is seeing tiny black ants coming into her ny city apartment. I live in nj and have not seen them and she is unsure of the kind of ants they are. But she said they don't bite or sting. Are bunches of them and she thinks they are getting in through cracks in her apt window on the second floor bedroom area. Any suggestions what to use to get rid of them that I can order for her? Thanks. Steve

Answer:

If the ants are attracted to food or water then our Complete Ant Kit would be the best option. This kit features the convenience of bait plate stations and the attractiveness of two unique baits to fill the dietary needs of most household ants. Ants looking for sweets will consume Maxforce FC Ant Bait Gel, and ants seeking protein will consume Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait. Both baits have slow acting active ingredients that allow ants to continue their routine activities for some time before succumbing to the effects, so ants have time to transfer active ingredients throughout the colony. Because ants continue to return with food, the colony does not know there is a problem until after the bait has already spread. Results are seen in as little as 6 hours, and colonies are usually gone within a few days (colony size will determine length of treatment). If the ants that your daughter has does not seem attracted to food or water then a liquid insecticide spray would be recommended. Onslaught Insecticide is powerful and effective against ants and over 200 other insects. Onslaught is a milky insecticide concentrate made for dilution with water and application with hand pump spryer such as our Chapin Premier 1 Gallon Sprayer.
