Q&A Home

Frankie writes,

What to you wash bed clothing in to rid them of bed bugs and dust mites?

I have a infestation of bed bugs. I want to wash my bed, clothing, and all the items in the room and the house. What can I add to my wash to rid myself of eggs as well?

There is no need to add anything to the wash other than your normal detergent. Bed bugs, bed bug eggs and dust mites will be killed during the normal washing and drying process and there is no need to do anything special. In fact, items that cannot be washed can be placed in the dryer for about 1/2 hour on high and any bedbug, egg or dust mite present will be killed.
