When can I apply Pendulum to landscape beds in Ohio?

We are going to be mulching this winter and I am wondering if liquid Pendulum will be an effective pre-emergent to apply in cold temperatures? And how long does the residual last/how often do I need to reapply?

Answer:

Pendulum 3.3 EC can be applied to landscape beds prior to mulching. It will be able to absorb into the soil underneath the mulch. It should not be applied to newly transplanted plants until they are rooted successfully. You will also want to use the lowest rate on annuals. It should be applied in March-May and again in Aug-Nov for the best control with cool season turfgrass. It is important to apply pre-emergents just before the soil reaches 55+ degrees, just before the seeds begin to germinate in the soil.
