When do I spray Tempo?

I live on the North Carolina/ Virginia boarder. Tempo worked great last year but now that it is spring, when should I apply ? My main problem is 1'000s of grasshoppers once they hatch. Do I spray now or wait until they hatch. we are new to the area and I just remember mowing the lawn last year while 1'000s of bug flew up from the lawn. Also, what would be a good general weed spray for my lawn ? I have a tractor and a 25 gallon pull behind sprayer. Thank you !

Answer:

You should start spraying before the egg hatch. To find the correct timing in your region you should contact your local cooperative extension office as the timing varies from region to region. Cooperative extension locator: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/index.html
