When should I apply Hi-Yield Crabgrass Weed Control?

I live on Long Island NY April 1st is tomorrow. We are going to be back in the 30-40's on Sunday and Monday. When should I apply it?

Answer:

Since Hi-Yield Crabgrass Weed Control is a pre-emergent, it is meant to prevent crabgrass from germinating so it has to be applied before it starts to germinate.  There is no minimum temperature indicated to apply Hi-Yield Crabgrass Weed Control. Basically, you need to apply the product 1-2 weeks prior to the onset of conditions favorable for the weed seed germination. This will vary from region to region and you should contact your local cooperative extension office to enquire when the appropriate application time would be in your area.
