You want to dig a trench and apply Dominion 2L in the trench for many reasons. One, by applying the Dominion into the soil, you are allowing the product to bind and stay put for up to 7 years. Two, the depth of the trench ensures that the termites will come in contact with it. If you just spray you would have to reapply every 6 months and termites might not even come in contact with the solution, because it is not in the ground where they are.
