Why is D-Fense Dust ban in NY?

is it because is a health hazard?

Answer:

D-Fense dust is not banned in NY.  Pest control professionals in NY are allowed to use it.  We just cannot sell it to unlicensed professionals.  It is not our choice.  New York lawmakers have passed laws that do not allow homeowners to use professional products.  To find products that are approved to ship to NY, please see our New York product page.
