The Wilco Gopher Bait Applicator With Gopher Getter Type 2 Bait is a hand-operated device that is used for easier application of gopher bait. The applicator works for commercial use and in treating large areas. It weighs 8 pounds and has a dimension of 12 in. length, 4 in. width, and 36 in. height. Once purchased, product comes with 1 lb bottle of Gopher Getter Type 2 Bait.
Wilco Gopher Getter Type 2 Bait is an attractant and bait for pocket gophers. It is a multi-feed solution on a milo grain formulation that will remain active in burrows for up to 27 days. The bait is used in subsoil applications in lawn and garden areas and should be deposited directly into runways or burrows. For best results, bait should be used for 3-4 consecutive days.

Wilco offers each applicator purchase a one year free repair or replacement warranty. Customers will need to fill out the warranty sheet that is provided with each applicator purchase and send to Wilco within 30 days of receipt along with proof of purchase. The one year warranty period begins once Wilco receives the completed warranty sheet. After 30 days the warranty sheet is void and no replacement will be offered if defective/broken.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
HAND APPLICATION:
Location of Runways: To locate gopher’s natural runway, probe about 6” to 8” inches from an active mound beginning on the flat side of the horseshoe-shaped depression. Using a Gopher Bait Applicator bait dispensing probe, or a Gopher Getter Midget bait-dispensing probe, or other suitable implement, probe 8“ to 10” inches below the soil level. Soil resistance on probe will decrease when runway is entered.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:
1. GOPHER BAIT APPLICATOR METHOD: Turn hand probe unit upside down to attach or remove bait bottle which screws into the dispenser. The 1-lb. container for Gopher Getter Type 2 Bait by Wilco may be screwed directly into the dispenser. Otherwise, add the amount of bait needed to the bottle that comes with the Gopher Bait Applicator and screw the bottle into the dispenser. Using probe end, probe around mounds to locate runways (see “Locating runways” above.) Lift handle three times to deposit bait in each active runway. Pick up or bury any spilled bait immediately. Makes 2-7 bait sets per burrow system, depending upon the systems apparent length. For best results, this bait must be placed in the gophers’ active runway for four (4) consecutive days or until activity ceases.
2. HAND PROBE AND FUNNEL METHODS: Enlarge probe hole(if necessary) to accommodate baiting. Use water proof gloves and a scooping device (preferably long-handled) to transfer the bait from container to the bait applicator. Insert one-half cup bait into each active runway through probe opening or through the funnel, if using the Probe’ n Funnel kit. Take care not to spill bait on the surface. Pick up any spilled bait immediately. Makes 2-7 bait sets per burrow system, depending upon the systems apparent length. For best results, this bait must be placed in the gophers’ active runway for four (4) consecutive days or until activity ceases.
3. GOPHER GETTER MIDGET: Remove cap from built-in bait reservoir and fill with bait. Replace and tighten cap. Using probe, probe around mounds to locate runways. To deposit bait in each active runway, turn crank six full turns, stopping back at the closed position. For best results, this bait must be placed in the gophers’ active runway for four (4) days in a row or until activity ceases.
CLOSING RUNWAYS - After bait has been applied, cover probe opening with sod or dirt. Do not permit dirt to sift in or cover bait.
FOLLOW UP - Wearing water-proof gloves, collect and dispose of all dead animals and leftover bait properly. Clean all application equipment thoroughly with hot water and detergent. Do not use to handle or transfer human food.

I could not live without my gopher getter. Have had it for over 7 years. We have a huge yard and i have kept them completely under control. Got it as a Mothers Day gift.....best one I ever got!!! Well worth the money. Have already sold two for you to friends.

Excellent Gopher Bait Applicator!

I've owned this applicator for a few months now. It has served me well! I have 4 acres, 3 of which are 'Coastal Bermuda' used as high quality hay for horses. is very well built and gets the gophers! It is high quality and what I would call the 'Cadillac' of gopher poison applicators. It has a very sharp tapered tip that gets into the soil, then a way of depositing the poison where you want it. One little caveat with any gopher probe that I learned years ago: Once you pierce the soil with a probe and deposit the bait, cover the opening with something that will not fall into the hole and cover it up. Often, while gophers are travelling in their tunnels and see light ahead, the will push soil toward the light to eliminate it. This usually means that they will cover up the bait that you applied. Great Product, Very Happy Customer!

Happy Gopher Hunting

We live in a very popular gopher area . It seemed useless to plant other than in containers because the gophers even killed trees. We tried many methods to control them, but had little & only temporary success. Your product has given us back our yard & a chance to enjoy gardening again. It is effective & works quickly & safely for our pets.

Wilco Gopher Bait Applicator with Gopher Getter Type2 Bait

Wilco Gopher Bait Applicator is very effective in eliminating Gopher infestation from the first time of use. I have used it in small grass yard at my home and the Gopher dirt mounds have stopped completely after placing the bait properly in the tunnels. The only comment to say is about the assembly; when I was trying to place the jam nut after placing the handle, there was not enough length on the bolt for the nut to go all the way down (only half the way of the nut thread) but it was tight enough to hold. Highly recommend the product!
