Richard from Fl writes

Will Crossbow kill sea grape bushes?

Have a problem wit these plants, asking for a neighbor.

Answer:

While the Crossbow is not specifically labeled to control SeaGrape bushes, it does contain Triclopyr which is highly used in eliminating any brush or viney type plant. It would best be applied undiluted with a paint brush or spot sprayer directly after cutting back/down the seagrape bushes to the ground. You want to chop them down as low to the ground as you can and then immediately apply the product to the freshly cut stump/vine. The product will soak in and kill the plant within a few weeks where at that point you can remove it if you need to.
