Will Monterey Agri-Fos Systemic Fungicide control the seridium cankor on my leyland cypress trees?

I have 14 leyland cypress trees that became infected last year with seridium cankor. A tree expert examined my trees. The trees are 25 ft. tall. Thanks for the help.

Answer:

Multiple university studies show that there are no current known fungicide treatments that are effective for controlling seridium canker in Leyland Cypress. Rather, good cultural practices and planting disease-resistant plants are recommended. Leyland Cypress have a shallow root system, so they will be more susceptible to disease when under drought stress. It is also important to prune any infected branches and to sanitize pruning tools after use. Here is more information from the Kent State Cooperative Extension about Leyland Cypress in your area.
